but most stalkers (there is a difference) are. They tend to be predatory, and prone to violence. The best cure for them is the same as a violent rapist: Life without parole, castration, and other such measures. There usually is no repentance or human concern.

Well, this is all true, so Yoli, don't beat yourself too badly regarding your exhibitionist urges to dance naked... Typically the human response is to lk, and that response is almost universal. So much so, in fact, that the Lady Godiva legends have a story about a man named Tom who looked at her and was blinded as a penalty for that act of lking. Peeping Tom, they called him, and now they also call everybody else that does this shit.

However, paparazzi, private investigators, police, and others (such as all of us who watch "CHEATERS" on T.V.) have at some point done the same thing. It can be the past time of old people with binoculars looking out their windows who have nothing better to do.

So, Yoli, you may just have a fledgling chairman of you fan club who followed you. However, don't look for him to get much more than a restraining order and a slap on the wrist, he is probably already out on bail, and a civil suit would mean that he will be seeing a LOT more of you in court. So, he gets his way. Don't humor him. In addition, if he was permanently injured those individuals who came to your rescue they may be looking at a suit by him against them for personal injury.

Generally, stalkers are NOT harmless, however, some are but ALL are just plain CREEPY and generally psychotic.

That is, they are repressed and that does BAD things to their mind. You see, if they can be trusted they will find a way to introduce themselves to you, but in a public manner and in a way such that it does not give you the creeps. When they idolize you it is DANGEROUS because they will construct an imaginary world and put the object of their attention in it and then if they should do something that they don't like, they feel the urge to punish their beloved for it. That is the type of loser nut-job that kills people.

Really, it is according to his record, if he has one, and if it can be proven that this was NOT an isolated incident and that it was ongoing. In addition, if he had nothing that might be construed to be a weapon on his person, or a history of this sort of behavior, he has probably learned his lesson by now.

I know that you probably don't want to hear this but more likely than not from the way that you have described this incident this person is probably harmless.

We had neighborhood kids (boys) peeking in our windows a decade or two ago, and we just ignored them. After all, the poor kids apparently were not being taught anything at home, were they? You know, that it a pretty anti-social thing to do, window peeping and being a general nuiance.

So don't worry your pretty little head about him no more, O.K.?

However, IF you see him following you again, GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HIM and call the police.

I'd quit the skinny-dipping unless you are reasonably sure he isn't watching the pool, also.

How unnerving. I had friend of my sister relocate 250 miles to the city I moved to. She then enrolled her child at the church she decided to attend right across the street. I meet her in the parking lot just outside my home. Fortuneatly she found man in the town and married.

However, just this past week I spotted her at my gym! She is now DIVORCED and on the prowl. She struck up a conversation about her "new carreer path", nursing, which just happens to be my profession. Then she wanted lunch!

So...I've decided to trade the chihuahua in for a two pitbulls!

I am also glad you have sense enough to carry a gun. Always call security when arriving at work from now on. Ask them to meet and escort you in and out. It's their job to provide security. They will gladly help and that's how they justify their paychecks!!! Please ask for a meeting to discuss security procedures at work. Other ladies (and gentlemen) need to be made aware of your situation. It could happen to them as well.

As for Mr. Wanker who knows/related to somebody; can you contact a local newspaper or TV station? How about a tabloid? It isn't slander if it is the truth. If he is important he is bound to have enemies somewhere who would be more than happy to expose the way he exposed himself.

Wow! I am so glad that you are safe. Stalkers are not the sort of folks to treat lightly. They can be very, very dangerous.

Do be careful. Laws are completely worthless, they just work to make you more powerless and you must protect yourself. Being secure and not appearing vulnerable is so important. While there are things you can do at work, you can also intruder proofed my home.

I'm not into guns in the home...at all! And when someone breaks into your house, it's far better to jump out the window than confront your intruder. I suggest a doberman or pitbull for this. I'm already mean enough, so I only have a little 3.4 lb chihuahua.

Here are some things I did to make sure my home is always safe and sound, what a home used to be and should be.

1. I raised the level of all the gates and added a cross member above. This way a person must climb onto the roof(becoming highly visable) just to jump the gate.

2. Next, nine gauge wire was stapled to the fence all around the perimeter of the yard. (Kinda like razor wire once you add the vine and rose bushes for added protection).

3. Motion sensing lights at all the gate entrances and side yards.

4. Finally I installed an alarm system. I have sensors on all the access doors and motion sensors. If I do have an intruder I have a flashing red light with street level visability and an alarm.

I understand how un-nerving these things can be and hope you find piece of mind.

You must live in a big bad city.... I have no way to provide for security since my rural boondocks property has a 1.5-mile perimeter. I do have some high-tech video cameras hidden in strategic locations with a digital recorder. I can't stop someone from getting onto my property, but I will have a record of them and their vehicle icense plate if they do.
