Beer makes me feel so gassed up in my tummy I can't drink a lot, but when I do drink beer it should be flavorfull.

I like Guiness (only from the tall skinny cans with the little ping-pong 'whizzer' ball in it, ice cold, poured into a glass). Admittedly, it smells like a loaf of bread, but it's yummy .

And yeah, I love the Bogart line, and Churchills response to Lady Astor.

Hey, them's fightin' words. I'll have you know that not only do I consider myself a connoisseur of beer, I happen to brew my own.

I loved the quotes. So many truths there. I've heard tales of an ancient civilization that used to consider problems twice. Once while sober, and once while drunk. Seems like a great way to go about things, as far as I'm concerned.

As a slight bit of historical trivia, supposedly in those days before we understood what yeast actually was, the mysterious substance which turned wort into beer was called 'God-is-good', for it's miraculous ability to turn boiled grains into beer. And as such, some considered it a gift from God, and proof of his love.

I hereby invite Krister, and other doubters to come visit, and sample some of the fine beer I brew myself. Lets see how it matches up against any wines or other fermented beverages they create themselves. (Jesus excepted of course. I'm not sure my beer could compete with his wine.)
