The "What were they thinking?" Department

This stuff is real, thus not for the 'jokes' section, even though they seem like a joke.

Although this product, if it works, has benefits. But did they ever research the name before branding the product?

An over the counter pill that will make you "NULLO"

http://www.nullo.com/

But then again, a bid in card games, when one attempts to "take no tricks", where the objective is to play to loose, is also called: "nullo".

(loose the game, loose your parts, some connection, er, disconnection, there).

This will keep them guessing when you are in the gym locker room:

Dead Nuts boxer shorts:

Based upon an enlargement of the image on the boxer shorts: OUCH !

Just what the heck IS that thing?

Sleepness nights wanderings: Looking for more "reality is stranger than fiction" dangling participles (or not so dangling).

I'm guessing that it's a device for printing a logo on a tennis or golf ball. It certainly looks awesome in the enlarged picture.

A well known sports drink in Japan similar to "Gatorade" is called "Pokari Sweat." Tastes good too.

Then there is "Calpis" which is a milk based concoction. Cow piss?

That is an aiming reticle for a compound bow. The pins inside the circular part adjust for different yardages, the level at the bottom is to insure that the bow is held perfectly vertical.

That device is a sighting mechanism for a bow. It has several pins that project out into the reticle ring, and these pins can be adjusted higher or lower and slightly left or right to show you approximately where your arrow will hit at the range you have set that pin for. Several pins are needed because arrows flight paths drop quite a bit every five or ten meters.

Note that in the bottom of the ring, there is a small level. That makes it easier for the archer to see that he is holding his bow perfetly plumb and or level so he has a better chance of hitting his target.

The term "dead nuts" is used in machining and in military (artillery) meaning "accurate". Similar to saying "dead on". So it makes sense for a bow sight, but of course sort of ambiguous when used on boxer shorts.
