It sure sounds as though Dr. Reed is now doing what Kimmel does, except he does require those letters, which Kimmel does not. Reed requires a letter from the wannabee eunuchs wife. I wonder if any castrated eunuch's wife ever went to see Dr. Kimmel about getting her husbands jewels back? Perhaps that's where the lawsuits come from?

Re: Dr. Harold Reed does what Kimmel does?
For some Orchialgia Patients I know that having a prescreening done by a mental health professional is required. Frankly while this seemed like a pain I understand its probably a good idea for covering the doctors from legal issues and for the patient I think its worth while to go over the motivation and so forth. Once your flat on your back and they knock you out its too late!

What if the patient is un-married? And does the prescreening just weed out people who are actually messed up in the head, or does it require a valid medical reason for the castration?
