age gap

Post by twaddler (imported) »

Dan was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business. When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a wife with whom to share his fortune.

One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away. “I may look like just an ordinary man,” he said to her, “but in just a few years, my father will die, and I’ll inherit 20 million dollars.”

Impressed, the woman obtained his business card and three days later, she became his stepmother.

Women are just so much better at estate planning than men!

Moral of the story:

When you're doing well, keep your mouth shut!

This is not too far from the truth.

When I was a young man I ran a Marina in the Bahamas. One of our regular visitors was an elderly man who had recently married his second wife.

His great passion was sport fishing and he regularly hired our staff to go with him.

After one visit the Captain of one of our boats said that they had been discussing marriages and the second wife admitted that she did not love her husband, described him as having some disgusting habits. But, as she said, the first wife got greedy. She took him for $10-15 million and then tried to take the boat. (This was a luxury yacht he had had built to his own specification). It was then that she got dumped.

As model #2 said, he is now 80 and I am 42, all I have to do is wait a few years and it is all mine.

I am not sure if she knew what her huband had planned, because it was at that time there was an announcement that he had given around $100million to create an educational foundation (which still bears his name). Still there was a lot more than that as a consolation prize.
