Thanksgiving

Post by kristoff »

For those in America who are celebrating our holiday of Thanksgiving - the traditional harvest feast - I bid you all a good (and perhaps glutonous) day. The sister has been invited to dine at the country club. We are doing park squab over sterno under the third avenue bridge (it is in relatively good condition - I dont think it will fall down). Thanks to all who feed the flock (and screw that bastard in NYC who wants to starve our birds). I am not sure what has been planned for the sides, but undoubtedly it will be good.....

I would like to add my best wishes to all a most happy Thanksgiving. All countries may not celebrate it like we do here in the states but hope you do celebrate a day of giving thanks of some type in your country.

By the way Happy Pig Out Day

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I love that "doing squab over sterno..." bit. I will have to remember that.

As for the Deacon's Thanksgiving plans..... Very NOT traditional plans for me, my abusive brother will be dropping by, I would never have him at my home but mother wants to see him, and she is 86 years old so I let her see who ever she wants. I will not set at the same table with the abusive pervert though, just cannot put aside who and what he is.

Instead of "brotherly love" and all that, I will be TRYING very hard to repair a friend's Ford Taurus. Oh my GOD! Please, someone, say a prayer for me! I am absolutely shocked and stunned, this Ford Taurus is by far, the MOST difficult to repair vehicle I have ever worked on. While mom and abusive brother are dining on Thanksgiving dinner.... I fear there may be loud vulgar noises heard from the driveway as I work on the Ford (Fix Or Repair DAILY!) I think I might want to stroll over to the third street bridge and have some of that "squab ala sterno" with you all. I will bring my pellet gun so we can get some more squab.

A Happy Thanksgiving to All. This year will be different with the loss of my mother. First holiday without her.

Of course there are some things I am glad she did not have to witness. This morning for instance after my incredible disappearing boyfriend called wanting to see me on the holiday. After a lovely morning of my tears and giving him hell yet again for lack of contact he showed me a lovely time. When we were dressed I needed to run to the ATM and to a convenience store. While at the bank a woman who has feelings for him practically leaped over the curb with her van to confront him. They argued in the bank lot and he got back in my car. I thought Norman Rockwell paint that image.

Of course yesterday was as much fun. I stopped in a card store to buy my aunt and uncle a 50th wedding anniversary card. A clerk came up to me and congratulated me on 50 years of marriage. I was stunned. Did she think I was in my early to mid 70's. I was stunned and knew Paolo or Kristoff could have handled the situation much better. I just mumbled "I would have had to of married when I was 1".

Oh well soon too much wine and food will dull my senses and I will be thankful.

I had an extra helping for you. If I do not process this meal soon I will be asking Santa for a lift chair.

I just knew that with Paolo's and your quick wit either one of you would have come up with a better comment than my mumbling what I did.
