An escape route for losers.The video is of a poor taste,as most of the junk on that website, but that is future of "E.T." for masses.

I am not suprised there is so many unemployed artists/filmakers specially in S.F.

How ironic,I went S.F. state in the late 80's and after 2 semesters in film studies I landed a job my professor envied me.

I realized I had nothing more to learn there ,I left and I never regreded it.

Some unemployed artist envy my success until today.

As the old song from Sparks says: "Talent is an ASSet.http://www.allsparks.com/

I have missed few good oportunities,one of them was in Tuscany,this summer,but I will make up in China in Dec.http://www.missworld.tv/bio/bio.sps?iBiographyID=91883

It does pay(in Euros) to be tri-lingual and have a real talent.

Some people on this EA have complained that my English is not up to their standarts.

I sense a double standard here and it kind of makes me sad.

But bigots and haters come in all shapes and forms and there is plenty of those here.

I have noticed the anti-European trend,ironically from Americans of that heritage.

Maybe the "old continent" is not that old, after all.

Obviously not the case since you are over here hijacking this thread. It seems as though you are attempting to be a thorn in my side. I do not give a rip about anyone's spelling or grammar. If it is un-intelligible, we'll do something about it -edit or whatever. Otherwise, we have people who have poor skills, some excellent, both are welcome to express themselves. Anyone who cannot deal with it can see the door and not let it hit them on the ass on the way out.

H, some of your concerns and comments, viz., this country and its future as a probable second or third tier economic power, social misfit, and so on (my terms) I think are very real. We are rapidly diving into mediocrity in this country. I have friends from Russia, Ukraine, and other places, that speak the language here far better than most locals, and I am proud of my friends and embarrassed for the locals.

If there are those who carp and bitch about immigrants to this country, they're welcome to feel that way. They just need not park it in my face. I am staying - my immigrant status is now US Citizen.

WOW as one who regularly butchers the English language you will never hear me complain, actually its us who have better reading and comprehension skills than those that complain. There is reason for this, we understand this language and the many spellings of words.

The real shame is that we only speak one language here in this country, English and we do that badly for the most part. In other countries you learn your native language and usually one or two others. I know in Germany today in the first grade you have German, English and one other language, we Americans are the only ones that only speak one.

I started this thread to share what I felt was a funny video, but it seems to have become something else completely. I was about to post another video but I think in the context of this thread it would not have been seen an being funny, but rather as a commentary on the conversation above. So I will most likely start a new thread, and I hope that people will please respect the theme of the thread.

I also want every one to know that I don't care about about any one's immigration status on this board. For as long as I can remember We have had members from all over the world and I wouldn't want it any other way. It wouldn't be half as interesting around here if it weren't for the variety. I do not want to make any one feel unwelcome.

And if I have given any one the impression that I am critical of their spelling or grammar I am sorry. I tend to get upset when I see people getting knocked for their spelling or grammar. If any one wants to know where I stand on the subject they can look back at my earlier posts. I have never criticized any one's grammar or spelling on this board or any other message board.
