There have been several posts on topic, so I will simply randomly select one to add on to.
This was an awesome weekend. I'll have to say it surpassed the long weekend 3 years ago down in Hell, Indiana, but only because it was NOT 95 degrees F., and was NOT 95% humid. On the other hand it was a bit chill, and rained on Friday night.
Robby, River, and I arrived at about 3PM on Friday in Robby's eunuch-mobile; Uncle Flo arrived about the same time in his own wheels. Bobbie, OBB, and Luv were already there ahead of time. Got reacquainted. Flo, Robby, River, and I headed out for a fabulous meal at Mexicali Rose in Lake Delton, where despite the lousy service had a great time, and rolled out of the place stuffed.
We spent a late evening in Robby's RV chatting away til about 1130 or so, whereupon Robby and I drove down to bootleg the wi-fi at one of the local hotels, and post and catch-up. Then off to bed. A six foot person does not tend to sleep real well on a five-foot sofa sleeper - thank God for Ambien, and Ibuprofen the next AM.
A bit of quick shopping in the morning for supplies. Then folks started to roll in. Not sure who all showed up when, but Erica Ann and wife showed, as well as Tome, and Talula. Hours of fun chatting, meal prep, gorging on Fabulous cooking by Bobbie, veggie platters by Robbie, Fruit by Tome, odds and ends from others. No one could have asked for better. Hats off to the chefs de cuisine.

This was followed by more chat, martinis and other cocktails, more chat, and another trip to the local bootleg wi-fi.
A few hangovers this AM, but quickly cured by River's feather light buttermilk pancakes - I lost count but I believe I pigged out on about 12. River threatened to mix up another 2-3 gallons, but we decided to let him eat too...
After most folks drifted off heading home, Robby and I finally left about 5PM arriving in St Paul about 845PM - and I got home about 930 from Robby's. An uneventful trip. Robby figured out how to get a 33 foot RV home to draft on the back of a semi-truck. Saves gas!
All in all, I had a blast, and am grateful to have met and re-met some great folks, and look forward to more of this sort of thing in the future. Thanks Bobbie and gang and everyone.
