prostate massage relieving high sex drive???

The last year has been an amazingly bad adventure into Alice in wonderland. I have had a fairly regular roller-coaster of a sex drive that ranges from normal to out of control over the last 10 years. Having been diagnosed with bipolar last summer, I have a better understand of what is causing it--mild hypomania. But I have felt that there is something more to it. Maybe something is triggering it. I may now have some insight into what is going on and maybe it is applicable to other people. I am very curious as to other people's thoughts on this matter.

I have noticed that my sex drive usually begins to ramp up for at least half a week. During this time I feel a near constant mild sexual charge. I generally have more energy and feel more aggressiveness. Getting off or reaching climax frequently initially dampens this sexual energy, but it does little to stop it from increasing. Once things are ramped up it normally takes between one to three weeks for things to come back down. However, there have been times when the cycle seems to run its course much shorter. And things have a tendency to suddenly snap and I feel nothing but a tunnel of immensely intense sexual drive. Let alone some of the stupid things I have done while in this state, I do NOT like this feeling at all.

In the past I felt that the more intense an orgasm, the more I could achieve relief from the intensity of the sexual drive and that the cycle would wear off quicker. But I now feel there is something even more specific that seems to short circuit this state.

I have noticed that once I start getting a constant mild sexual drive, it suddenly goes from elevated to really high. This often times happens when I feel the need for a bowel movement. I have recognized this before, but never gave it much thought. Waste can place extra internal pressure on your prostate.

Once I reach a high sex drive I eventually end up giving myself a prostate massage, which seems to be towards the end of the cycle. More strangely my prostate always seems to be engorged and very full at these times. After spending a lot of time draining the prostate, I feel a sense of relief and the high sexual drive seems to dissipate.

I have given myself prostate massages occasionally at *other* times when my sex drive is normal. But the prostate always seems to be smaller and it does not produce as much fluid.

I reach climax and ejaculate on a regular basis--average once a day to every other day when my sex drive is normal. Should your prostate really seem to become any more engorged in light of this?

Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? Or am I just smoking crack? For people that feel that their sex drive is too high, do you get at least a few days relief from completely draining the prostate?
