SheZow – Transgender Superhero

Post by JesusA (imported) »

The item below was just forwarded to me by a friend. He received it from conservative Christian acquaintance and thought that I might find it amusing. The original date on it was last Friday, May 31. I'm sorry I missed the premiere. Maybe next week....

Warning to all parents! This Saturday, June 1, the premiere of the transgender superhero show "SheZow" will air on Hub at 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. CT/9:30 a.m. PT. The media is determined to pollute the minds of our children and there is no better way to desensitize them than through a cartoon program. Everyone knows children are drawn to animated shows; both boys and girls love superheroes. This character especially will appeal to both boys and girls since the superhero represents both genders by cross dressing and being transgendered. This dude becomes the FEMALE superhero SheZow dressed in pink and purple.

The Hub network, co-owned by Discovery and Hasbro (children's toy company), produced the "SheZow" show which follows the adventures of a 12-year-old boy named Guy who uses a magic ring from his deceased Aunt to transform himself into a crime-fighting girl. Yes, you read that correctly. When Guy says the magic words "You go girl!" he becomes SheZow the superhero.

This is just another attempt by the gay, lesbian and transgender community to indoctrinate our children into accepting their lifestyles.

The Hub currently shows many children's shows like, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake and Chuck and Friends, which are all very popular among young TV viewers and their parents. The target audience for the Hub is children aged two to eleven.

Even the chief executive of the Hub, Margaret Loesch, initially had the same reaction that most parents will have. Loesch commented, "When I first heard about the show, my reaction was 'Are you out of your minds?' Then I looked at it, and I thought, 'This is just funny.'" There are several possible reasons why she may have changed her opinion concerning this gender-bending program for kids.

There is no doubt this superhero character will confuse kids. Children desire to be just like superheroes and will mimic a superhero's every action, even to the point of dressing up in costumes to resemble the characters as much as possible. It won't be long before little boys are saying, "I want to be a girl, so I can help people and save the world!"

Christian parents don't need a TV show to contribute to what might be a real problem for some children. Loving your child is to teach them right from wrong and find help when they need it. We are all sinners, but we try to do better and get help when and where we need it in our lives. Thousands of Christian counselors and pastors are available all across the country to help anyone who is struggling with any kind of sin including homosexuality, gender identity disorder, gender confusion or gender dysphoria.

That somehow reminds me of this short video:

PS. magic ring, you say... from aunt? You sure it wasn't a former uncle? :-)

PPS. I apologise in advance, if I offended anyone.

I should have done a bit of research before posting. The show is Australian and has been on Network Ten there since December. It is also about to begin a run on BSkyB in the UK.

Episode 1 is on line at:

It's great fun and should attract a fan club quickly....

Lol, never thought I'd see an American version of the anime show "Kampfer." Same premise... normal male gets accidentally tagged with a power that turns him into a female superhero. The anime show is admittedly basically a lesbian fanservice fest, while SheZow is a kid's show, but hey, it's still an amusing premise.

I don't know what I think of the term "transgender" really being applied to this, though. They make it seem like the main character is actually transgender, while really he's just a normal guy that just happens to be forced into dressing in a feminine superhero uniform. That doesn't really make him "transgender" per se...

I made it about 30 seconds into the online episode before I just couldn't take it anymore. Noisy, screaming, brash, silly, what's the word I'm looking for -- childish? yes, that's it!

Have you ever watched HUB? I mean seriously turned it on and tried to watch more than 1 program

(transformer robots don't count for guys... just as Sailor Moon doesn't count for girls... I mean seriously watch that channel for 3 or 5 hours and your brain has got to go to mush. )

It's wall-to-wall kiddie cartoons and silly 30 minute comedy repeats... in high definition, too...

I hope this isn't another scare for "christian" parents like the SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS conspiracy that if you turn Sponge Bob up side down, his nose is a penis and his eyes are testicles and he's teaching little boys masturbation...

Please, I couldn't take another conspiracy like that.

Ok, I watched some from the beginning. That was funny, and I caught "Man in Black" reference (probably there are some more, but I am unable to nail them).

Oh, and lipstick turning into a lightsaber was a nice touch ;-)

Most...annoying...cartoon...ever! LOL

Great premise, awful voice actors, and clunky animation, though.
