Re: Science Facts
Given the GOP's contempt for science, to be a Republican scientist, you would have to have a whole lot of self hatred.

There are also some gay Republicans, and for the life of me, I can't figure that out.

At least not all is lost. May be, just may be, with some counseling, they will stop trying to be republicans and embrace their true selfs?transward (imported) wrote: Wed May 29, 2013 4:06 am Given the GOP's contempt for science, to be a Republican scientist, you would have to have a whole lot of self hatred.

As opposed to the present, where they embarrass themselves.

River,
It grieves me beyond words to have to take possible exception to your view that scientists have no explanation as to why that number is so high.
I am, if my self-understanding is sufficiently accurate, a member of the human sub-class labeled "scientists," and I do have a biological explanation, one that I have a hunch may be shared by one or more other "scientists." It is an old notion.
"Independent assortment of genotypic and phenotypic traits."
If that is not a good enough explanation, I may have a better one:
Some scientists may be psychotic.
