Two members of Westboro Baptist Church appeared on Russell Brand's show and survived an interview. Here's a chance to see them without their picket signs – though they seem no brighter speaking than just picketing.

I have never enjoyed Russel Brand as much as I did in that video. The WBC loves us enough to share their hate. It all makes sense now.

Why do I see shades of Arizona? Is the Westboro Baptist Church in Arizona? Can I show this to my buddies in the Arizona Republican Party candidate vetting committee.

Seriously, give them credit for showing up in front of an audience that they could probably guess was hostile. It made for a more interesting program that with other people I could think of (no, not the Democratic candidates for the Arizona Corporation Commission after pot seeds were found in the commission meeting room and all the Republican candidates took a drug screen and came back clean and the Democratic candidates declined).

One of our local motorcycle gangs goes to funerals when there are rumors that Westboro might attend.

And, since the police here don't protect anyone else they probably wouldn't protect them.
