difference between HRT and bodybuilding steroids?

I'll give that a qualified sortof.
Right now, my HRT consists of weekly 50mL injections of testosterone enanthate. (I was formerly on testosterone cypionate, but there's a shortage in Canada.. long story.) Yes, I do believe enanthate can be used as part of a steroid regimen. However, bodybuilders who use steroids typically are using them in amounts far exceeding the 100mg/week that I take. Plus, I do believe (and I'm sure someone will correct me on this if I'm wrong) that those who use steroids tend towards using multiple forms of it at once, plus other stuff as well to round things out. At your typical HRT dosages, you are not going to go from Paul Rubens to Lou Ferrigno. (Not that I am implying in any way that Mr Ferrigno has ever used steroids. Far from it. There's no way I want him angry at me.) Nor are you likely to experience any of the reported side effects that come from using high levels of steroids.

Bodybuilders use anabolic steroids and other drugs, and most are various forms of Testosterone or Estrogen blockers.
Steroid abuse can cause many permanent changes including gynecomastia (bitch tits), infertility, and hypogonadisn (testicular atrophy) in men. Women it will cause virilization, (deepening of the voice, increased body hair (including the growth of dark facial hair), facial pore enlargement, clitoral enlargement, decreased breast size). Both Sexes effects, loss of scalp hair, liver or kidney damage, oily skin, and acne.
It's Your mileage may vary on usage of anabolic steroids as to the above changes some only one cycle others many cycles before the changes will happen.
