Sometimes I think that Chineese do understand Russians

Post by fhunter »

Recently I bought an inflatable mattress (due to some mishaps with bought furniture... well, the thread is not about that).

So, I look at the box, and see, in English:

There are risks using this product as a water craft. Keep away from fire.

Ok, standard disclaimer, I've seen plenty of them. Then my eyes drifts to the line in Russian.

I read it, the disbelieving what I see, then I reread, then look at the lines on other languages (as much as I can see, they are more or less the same as the English one)

So the line in Russian was:

Do not use the mattress as a water craft. Be attentive to winds and currents.

I love consumer labeling! It's some of the best laughs you can get.

Seriously, I bought a bag of walnuts. It said, "May contain tree nuts."

On a carton of eggs: "Processed in a facility that handles eggs."

That's all I have in the house right now.

I bought a clock which is powered by one AA battery. The instructions say not to mix battery types. How in the world could someone mix battery types when there is only one battery?

The one that struck me just last night was on the packaging of a frozen pizza: "Product must be cooked."

Seriously? If you cannot figure that one out on your own, you don't deserve to eat pizza.

What, you don't eat them frozen? Come on, your dentist needs a new boat!
