New Torchwood series on Starz
The Starz (Premium) channel has a new Torchwood series that starts this week. The first episode has not been shown yet so I cannot say much about it. I have seen a promo for the show. It has Captain Jack and Gwen in it. Part of the show will be set in the USA.

Moi
Torchwood is a spinoff of Doctor Who It started out as an organization in Cardif England to deal with alien threats. I suggest you look it up on IMDb.

Give it a try anyways. You wouldn't know it was related to Doctor Who by watching.
The last series was quite good. This one may well be better.

Re: New Torchwood series on Starz
Dr Who has to satisfy a very large young audience and many previous doctors. It once nearly went bye-bye when the on incarnation of the doctor used a gun. That was wrong for too many reasons to explain...
Torchwood as a spinoff doesn't have that constraint adn the writers are a quite a bit looser with all sorts of adult stuff.
Captain Jack has shown his bare ass. He kisses men every once in a while. The characters deal with more adult situations.
Jack Harkness did begin on Dr Who but he is not constrained to be within the Dr Who limited storylines.

Agree, Torchwood as the connection to Dr Who and it ends there. Moi, watch a couple of them before you decide if you like it or not, because its nothing like Dr Who.

Curious Guy -- Cardiff is in Wales not England - you would upset Welsh people by putting their capital in England! (don't worry I am not Welsh)
In UK the new series starts on thursday on BBC 1

Captain Jack would be a helluva snuggles partner, no matter what sex or gender you might be.
