Re: Happy Birthday fhunter!
First - thank you all for you all for you wishes and congratulations.
As for the birthday - the day started with.. birthday surprise, monitor on my computer slipped into coma, and stopped reacting on anything, just blinking it's power led. Opened it up, cleaned, and without seeing anything visibly damaged, I reassembled it back. It turned on, only to slip back to the same state after some time. So I was in mostly read-only mode for the time being (laptop is not the most comfortable thing to type on).
As for the dinner and all - it was, but... I am not a big fan of celebrating birthday at home, my relationship with family is currently far from perfect (sad smile). With friends - it would be next week, it is hard to gather them - they work, so it is an exercise in planning.
Ok. some comments.
Moi, your's wish reminded me of one saying: "optimist believes that we live in the best of all worlds, pessimist is afraid that this is true..."
Nullorchis, you have probably seen only historical center of St. Petersburg, other parts can be quite different.
Once more, thank you all

Fhunter,
Happy B-Day!
...you reminded me...
An optimist says the glass is half full.
A pessimist says the glass is half empty.
An engineer says that the container is too large.
(...and things like don't launch the Space Shuttle in freezing temperatures...)
...so there you go. Practicality at it's very, very best.
UNAPRECIATED!

fhunter, et. al.
Everytime I wake up, it is a birthday.
You can celebrate whatever you want, whenever you want.
Don't let society or customs bog you down.
