Makes me kinda glad I missed the Vietnam War.

I heard a LOT of those stories too, about razor blades in a woman's vagina, and I honestly think they are a bunch of BS. I can tell you from first hand experience that there were a LOT of "bullshit stories" circulating in the armed forces when I first enlisted - everything from the "square needle in the left nut" innoculation up to killer Viet Cong prostitute spies cutting off soldiers dicks.

I will accept that MAYBE this "bullshit story" about the razor-cunt killer woman has some roots in a much more common and real event that recurred with regularity in Subic Bay, Philippines.

Philippine prostitutes were known for energetic enthusiasm about plying their trade back in the 60's and 70's, and they were also known for being actually affordable to the common U.S. serviceman. Finally, they were known for one other attribute, "loyalty" that actually was avaricious possessivness, toward any long term client. Actually, knife attacks on servicemen were common in the Philippine Islands, NOT because of any "Anti-American" sentiments, but because if a Philippine working girl saw her "boyfriend" in company with any other females, there was a HIGH probability of a "butterfly knife" attack on someone. The Philippines are famous for their ingeniously concealed butterfly knives, some look exactly like a ball point pen, but split and reveal an amazingly stout and lethal blade. Almost all the working girls carried some sort of a butterfly knife.

I think it is very probably that a jilted Philippina working girl might attack the genitals of their wayward boyfriend and give him a few "farewell presents." Of course, when "Jonny comes marching home again" and has some curious scars, the truth must have been a bit too humiliating, to admit that some four foot tall brown girl got the best of a fight with him... so instead he cooks up the story of the evil and devious Viet Cong spy, the "razor-cunt killer woman."

Better to cut the throat...

1. Easy to see the target.

2. Blood supply more abundant, a kill is easier.

3. Unconsciousness due to interrupted blood supply to the brain and incapacitation would have been immediate.

However, razor blades in the vagina can cut the woman also.

If the spiked condom stuck to the penis as it was withdrawn not much blood would be lost but a woman would have just enraged an armed G.I. She would have little chance of survival if he decided to kill her, even if he did have his pants down.

The goal is to survive the rape and rebuild your life. I agree with others that have posted that this will enrage the man even more and rapists by their act are not nice people.

The problem is that when someone is attacking you, you might as well act as if they are planning to kill you and go all out in defending yourself. It is true that it might enrage the attacker, but plenty of passive victims are brutalized too.

It is the passivity of people generally that makes them victims. If a rapist thought the woman would fight to the death then they would think twice because even a small woman can do a lot of damage with bites and fingernails and kicks to the groin.

Anyway, I'm just suggesting that the "make the rapist happy" attitude is probably not much better than "fight for your life even if that makes the rapist mad" approach and the latter is much better for self-esteem even if you get hurt, it provides more proof that something non-consensual happened (if the police find the guy with bite marks then your story has more credibility), etc.

In Africa you are fighting for your life anyway because the rapist often has AIDS. So you might as well react like someone was trying to inject you with a needle full of HIV. Would you worry about "enraging" the attacker then?

That is PRECISELY why I suggested that she cut his throat and NOT his god-damned PENIS.

If she wants to cut that, cut it AFTER he is DEAD!

Agreed. I'm just reacting to those who were saying "don't enrage the rapist".

Also, the problem with weapons is that the average woman doesn't know how to use them and may have them turned against her. But if the woman has the stomach to carry a knife, trained to use it properly, and actually use it without hesitation before the guy has a hold of her, then yeah she should do that.

The advantage of the penis trap is that it is sort of a last resort weapon and it is "passive" -- the guy can have you pinned and smothered but you can still hurt him in a way that might distract him.

But the practicality of the penis trap seems doubtful, so I just posted that for fun.

I found it quite difficult to become too heroic to prevent my rape when there was a loaded gun at my temple. A gun tends to send a message that you do it or die. I also was not sure if he would kill me afterwards so I was trying to survive.

As far as being easy to victimize or a passive person that was because of my having been sexually abused at 7 years of age. Many people who fall into the victim category have those personality traits due to early victimization.

There are some rapists who become more excited the more their victim struggles. When they rape the struggling victim they have greater power and control over them. Passivity would actually bore that type of rapist.

Rape is an ugly life changing event. It has taken me years to heal. The last few years I have been truly happy I survived the abuses as opposed to wishing the gun had fired. Would fighting an armed rapist have helped or ensured my demise? I am glad to be alive and who I am today so I think I did what I had to at the time. I hope you never have to make that decision.

Actually I've made the decision twice (not in response to rape, but in response to guys pulling weapons on me -- I grew up in tough urban environment filled with skinheads and speed freaks).

I certainly won't refute the outcome of your experience, but I will say that it was still a gamble. The guy could have pulled the trigger anyway. In the African context in which this topic started, the raped women are often brutalized (breasts cut off etc.) and will certainly get AIDS so they should be highly biased towards "fight to the death". In US, the more common types of rape are not strangers such as date rape, spouse rape, incest, etc. where the parameters are different and since in those cases you're likely to live another day it may make more sense to take the rape passively.
