It really depends if your on TRT or not. Im on TRT. The feeling has definitely changed, i no longer get that spent and empty feeling after O, and I tend not to loose my erection as a result. I would say this has made it more pleasurable for me...

After castration with no TRT, it depends. Libido is caused by testosterone, and after puberty, it provides a significant role in erection. However, we all know pre-pubic boys get hard ones, so its not one hundred 100%... Many eunuchs have found a nicer, slower sexual experience with a more intense buildup, and many often enjoy it for the closeness (like me!). I was on chemical castration for almost 6 years and i lost my virginity during such time, it was much more and emotional event then physical to me..

I am a eunuch who has done both T and no T. With no T, I eventually lost all ability to get hard without direct stimulation, and getting hard with direct stimulation became more difficult with time. It was still possible, but it took a lot more effort and time.

Orgasms for me were much less intense without T. Even on T now they aren't really worth it (but have improved with past times on T, so my theory is that with each time I switch back and forth, I become less responsive to the T).

I did shrink in size. I was not big to begin with, but I got smaller yet, and still have not regained much of my size.

Libido experiences vary by person. Some have good libido even after castration, some have a "different" kind of libido that they consider more fulfilling (such as the emotional type you suggest), and others become fully asexual. With me there were still desires, but they all came from memories within my head of what I used to enjoy. There was no physical urge, feeling, or sensation accompanying the mental desires. Before my cut there was a strong physical component to the mental desires.

The most important thing to remember is that everyone is different.
