Are you trying to confuse us all by this mention of 'Anapolis'? Sure you're not referring to Silopana?

Backwards?

I've never heard of Anapolis. Or of Silopana, come to think of it. I hope you have a place called Silopana. Sounds so much more attractive than somewhere called Anapolis...

However, I do recall you had a president called James Carter once. Or something like that. He grew peanuts, I believe. Did he do anything else? How many wars did he lose?

Oh sorry. He was probably the last American President who didn't actually initiate a war, and if so I'm sorry for possibly maligning him. I rather like the idea of an American President who might have had friends in the World At Large ...

... and I note with interest that I don't seem to have amassed any of those 8-pointed yellow 'reputation' scars yet.

Do I mean stars? No, they're scars, aren't they? Or are they?

I don't care! I'm a rude old b-gg-r, I know. It's my pleasure to be just that little bit provocative! I'm sure you'll tell me if I overstep the boundaries of this lovely site!

Which "one"? You seem to have an unusually high opinion of America's past presidents.

Odd, very odd. I MUST offer an observation, of something that just does not seem to add up. Jimmy Carter was NOT typical of an Anapolis graduate. Are you SURE he is an Anapolis graduate? I knew he was a naval officer, assigned to a submarine I think during WW II, but he sure was not typical of an academy gratuate.

The U.S. Naval Academy at Anapolis must have changed or something from the time that Jimmy Carter was there and the time I worked with Anapolis graduates. I was in the navy (something I am genuinely ashamed of) for some while. When I first enlisted, I STUPIDLY believed the popular stereotype that navy officers who were "mustangs" or former enlisted men would be superior quality leaders because they "pulled themselves up by the bootstraps" and understood leadership so much better than the "ringknockers" (academy graduates) who all came from rich and overpriveleged upbringings. My honest observations are absolutely the opposite. Officers who were formerly enlisted men, who earned their commissions through other pathways than the Naval Academy were for the most part CLEARLY INFERIOR in their leadership, seriously lacking in any courage or initiative. Whereas the "silver spoon" academy brats were smarter, and a LOT braver, ready to gamble when they had to, and they usually made sound decisions in high pressure situations when a "mustang" or NROTC officer would have screwed up.

I was in the navy when Jimmy Carter was president. I know many people here will disagree with me, but I honestly believe the Carter was the WORST president bar NONE during my lifetime (that includes Richard M. Nixon and even monkey man George). Yes, I believe Jimmy Carter was even worse for America and the rest of the world than the idiot we have now.

You do not have to agree that Carter was a bad president, even if you did like his leadership, you have to acknowlege that he was indecisive and clearly out of touch with the citizens. Not at all like the typical Anapolis graduate.

For a few years, I thought he was a good EX-president because of all his work with "Habitat for Humanity." But in recent years, he has started beating a moralistic drum, writing books like "Our Diminishing Moral Values" or some such title, and he is saying that George Bush is so awful as a president.... well, Carter should be grateful that idiot boy George is giving him a bit of competition for the "worst president ever" title.

In the line of presidential questions:

Is Dennis Rodman related to Hillary Rodman Clinton?

They look alike, especially when he's dressed his best.

No. Hillary's name is, I believe, Rodham. Bill is the Rodman
