You mean infibulation? Lots of African girls have it done involuntarily when they hit puberty. It usually involves cutting the labia, so that it heals closed.

A very few people have it done voluntarily, usually as part of S&M games.

Some women use labia rings to do something quite similar called a chastity piercing.

I've done some research on this. (No surprises there.) And as far as I have found, there is no commonly used way to permanently stitch up or seal a vaginal canal. There is recourse to vaginectomy, or colpectomy, to excise all or part of the vagina. This the the route taken by some (not the majority) of transmen, as well as a last-ditch treatment for some cancers. I've met a few women who had removed all or part of their vulvas, but I have yet to meet one who opted to lose the vaginal canal as well.

There are the FtM surgeries, in some the whole vagina is removed and the opening closed. The clitoris is left.

This reply is a bit late...but my vagina and associated parts have been removed. I have been closed with only a pee hole. I am flat in the front with a small scar where you know what was.
