As of 5:00pm I could't connect to Yahoo Messenger. That little spiral thingy kept spinning for hours without opening YM for me. I tried rebooting the computer but didn't help. I can still connect to Messenger if I use my old external Hard Drive but not the new one. Weird.

Another minor problem. When I rebooted, and the machine came back on, my IRCle icon, which connects me to the chatroom was missing off the desktop. I wonder if the two incidents are related.

I found IRCle after going to History of sites visited.

For mac OS X, better is "Adium", and it takes lots of accounts (yahoo, msn, jaber, AIM etc...), but you can't use cam.

Hi MAC, YM is notoriously unstable on Macs. It even crashes when you try to quit the program. If you haven't already don so you should download the latest unstable version of YM and delete the old one or just don't use it.

Thanks. I was using the new computer's YM and I've already deleted it. Now I'm using the YM from the old HD that Ken_SD rescued from my old, but deceased, computer. It is more old fashioned but works fine.

Yahoo Mail and Messenger work perfectedly now. It just took some getting used to my new computer.

I used to also chat to a few friends on AOL but haven't found that link yet but I'm still looking.
