Please excuse my ignorance, but can someone explain what the RSS feeds link is on the main home page. There is a `new story feed` button. When I click on it I just get a list of stories inside lots of parenthesis typre brackets in. Is that it? Am I missing something (like sofeware to drive this feature). Thanks for any help and I hope I have not induced to many exasperated groans from the techies.:)

I'm not always the best at explaining things, but I'm gonna take a stab at this one.

In a way you can think of an RSS feed as a 'live bookmark'. So rather than having one of the old-style bookmarks that only points to one specific page, an RSS feed will always update itself to show bookmarks to the newest stories.

If you're using a newer browser (I've checked on both Firefox 2.0 and IE7, but haven't checked others), they should be aware of what the files are and offer you an option to subscribe to the feed. If your browser is not capable of handling them, there are other programs which can, such as Google Reader (http://reader.google.com).

If you are running the latest Firefox, all you have to do is click on the link(s) from the main page and it will prompt you to create a "Live Bookmark" then when you look in your bookmarks you will see the new bookmark with an arrow to the right. When you click on it you will see the newest posts or files...
