Yet again proving hype triumphs science, even when it comes to Nobel Prizes.

You know, with the PR and bandwagon Gore has, I'm sure Pons and Fleischmann could have gotten themselves the Physics prize way back in 89.

After reading about this bit of silliness, the Nobel Peace Prize has lost all respecability and prestiege in my eyes.

What do you expect? The Peace Prize was the brain child of the man who invented dynamite. Some one even nominated Adolph Hitler, and this year..... DRUM ROLL PLEASE..... Rush Limbaugh.

However, even though Gore's film is over the top.... Global Warming is very a serious problem.

...and that vicious little peanut head Jimmy Carter.

Jemagirl - I hate to disagree with one as pretty as yourself but the science just isn't there. Besides, it strikes me as somewhat arrogant that as a species we think we could damage Mother Nature before she got PO'd enough to erase us and start with a clean slate.

I remember back in the 1970's the same bunch of grant seeking pseudo scientist fear mongers were running around like chicken little warning of the coming ice age.

However, I do place more stock in the next ice age as they come in what I believe are 10,000 year cycles and we are about due for one.

Now, where is my bottle of gin. For anti-freeze purposes, of course. ;)

Who won the Noble Peace Prize? Gore you say? Al Gore? 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

Oh well.

On global warming, if its happening it happens over time, lots of time, several thousand years. Now no doubt we are not helping but I don't think what ever we do is going to change it much. One good volcano can change all the stats.

I just wonder what is going to happen when at some point it starts going back the other way, which it will. BUT first if the oceans rise the several feet they keep talking about, we loose Florida. Now, us Democrats and Al Gore don't see this as a real bad thing.
