I have always been fascinated by this sect, I wonder why!, have they completely died out if not is their ever any news about them?

I read some years ago that there was still a small closed community in france but i doubt that this is true anylonger- well i would be suprised if it was.

In 1968 there was an article in the London Times about the community that still existed in the Danube delta of Romania.. They are still there I understand...

There are many rumours that still float about regarding Skoptsy. While having absolutely no facts to base any conclusions upon, groups like this, as fierce as their beliefs were, may still be around but very "underground." One may hear of them, but not truly know... There is a great deal of fascinating materials about them all over the net; perhaps some of our more informed members might care to enlighten us.

Thank you, I do find it strange how difficult it is to find more detailed information other than brief references.

I will be interested to learn more if there are any more posts made.
