You are correct. When they find gay men, they hang them. Bastards

It may be impossible to be openly gay in Iran, but it may be the best country in the world to be MtF or FtM. Both are well accepted and the hormones and surgery are readily accessible.
All cultures have blind spots. Hopefully, they all change and grow toward greater acceptance of diversity, though there is no guarantee that they will.
If some of the "christian" fundamentalists in the U.S. had their way, things would be even worse than they are in Iran.

Jesus,
I did not know that FtM and MtF were accepted in Iran. Thanks for the input.

I don't know anything about Iran, but I know about Christian fundamentalists. I am holding back what I want to say!

Not always... ever wonder why Iran provides such easy access to gender re-assignment surgery?
In the insane logic of their religion, a sex-change lets them "fix" a homosexual, by turning them into a heterosexual.

Seriously?? I hate to break it to them, but some MTF are lesbians and I'm sure some FTMs are gay...

I'm sure they're more than happy to hang MTF lesbians and FTM gays -- or, more likely, just deny them the surgery so that they'll stay nominally "straight".
But when the gestapo ... I mean revolutionary guard, shows up at your door, and they give you the choice between being turned into
a) a straight woman, or
b) a dead fag,
guess which option people tend to choose?
They probably consider it very merciful and tolerant on their part. After all, neither the Bible nor the Torah nor the Qur'an explicitly forbid gender re-assignment. The Torah already promotes certain kinds of genital surgeries, and certain other kinds of genital surgeries are still being practiced in some parts of Iran. So it's not that big of a leap. Homosexuality, on the other hand, is explicitly condemned in the Torah, and it is VERY unambiguous about how even allowing boys to kiss other boys is a grievous sin.
Of course, bisexuals would probably be completely out of luck, which is a shame cuz they totally rock.
(And just in case anyone is confused, Muslims do consider the Torah and the Bible to be holy books -- although they use their own translations of those works, and consider the Christian and Jewish versions to be just slightly corrupted).

Slightly corrupted!!!!!!!! The Muslem religion took their religion from the bible and made something for themselves so yea they dont like us Christians one little bit.I say us as in me but anyone is welcome to join my religion and yes we love gay people and if any so called religion says we should kill gay people they should look at their own life first and stop this madness.
