I would like to hear from some of the girls here about their transitions, including both the positive and negative aspects.
Thank you

Dear WantToBeGirl,
WOW, where does one start with a subject that covers so much. You may want to read my thread "Decision made & Going For It." It is basically a running diary of my transition from the time I made up my mind to proceed with castration through to the present.
One of the hardest things to do for me at least was coming out to my immediate family, which by the way, didn't go so well. It's been over a year now since I have had any contact with them because that's the way they want it. They think I'm mentally ill. Thank goodness that my spouse is a very understanding person. She has accepted me whole heartedly.
The second hardest thing for me was coming out at the work place. If you've done some research on this topic, a great many of us become unemployed at this point in time.
The hormone therapy, hair removal, both face and body, growing your hair out, growing your nails out, waiting for the hormones to have there intended effects, replacing one's wardrobe...it all takes some time as well as a good deal of expense. But for me...I wouldn't have it any other way. It has all been well worth it, whatever the price, there is no better feeling in the world than being one's self.

Mostly my transition has been very possitive for me. Even my father agrees with this and he still is having trouble accepting my transition. When I transitioned I was single and had a job where I know my transition would be accepted.
Telling my family was very hard for me. I haven't had any problems with any of my family members. My mother is in complete denial of my transition but she still loves and accepts me I think that she will eventually come around. She had told me that I could visit her only if I dressed as a man but when I showed up as a dressed as myself she did say anything about it.
There are three other transsexual who work for my compony. One of them transitioned at my site not long ago. Because of this the people I work with already know about transsexuals. I never even had to tell anyone that i was transgendered, they picked up on it on their own. All I had to do was tell them about my name change.
As for the other aspects of transition, hormones and such, I have been very pleased with the resualts.

I really wish I had the interior power to transition at the workplace. I think Id have to get into a financial position that allowed me to undergo it in between jobs. I've been analyzed and put down since childhood, and I dont think I could take any more. Are there any books or further details in the steps, problems, etc?

I'm not transitioning 100% MtF - just my body...and my mind...
I'll continue liv ing as a guy with a femme body, that's what makes me happy for now as i can't make the full transition - my life won't allow it...not yet anyway..
But for the physical changes I love them, I love to see a femme form when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror...

I think I read that you have formed breasts, if so, are they hard to cover up?

Just Curious!! How feminine is your body? What changes have you undergone? Do you have any trouble passing as a male and do you ever pass as a female?
