I came across a website called "The Phoenix Project" ( http://www.abmall.com/tss/tss.html ) which sells Evanesce, "The non-prescription, Herbal-Estrogen capsule". This post (http://www.abmall.com/tss/wwwboard/messages/3558.html) on their message board suggests that you can take Evanesce to decrease your testosterone production without causing your body to become feminized (e.g. breast development, etc.).

Can anyone give me more information about this product? It's really caught my interest. I think that my testosterone levels are too high: I have to deal with unwanted erections (quite a few times, I have had to discretely "readjust" myself in public so that people wouldn't see the bulge in my pants) as well as unsatisfied sexual desires (and I end up looking at porn, when I should really be doing productive work with my time).

So I wonder if I can use this product to fix my testosterone levels without any side effects.

It doesn't seem to be too expensive, either: A bottle of 90 capsules (the recommended dosage is 1-6 capsules per day, and for the effect I'm looking for it's probably on the lower end of that) is just $15. No prescription required, discrete shipping packaging.

After reading you post, I'm going to try it. I ordered Evanesce yesterday. Dianna was responsive to my email about what I need to do to reduce or eliminate my sex drive.

Her reply:

Your best option would likely be to use Evanesce at a high dosage for a week or so, or until you detect the desired drop in sex drive. Then reduce the daily amount of Evanesce to 1-2 daily. This amount should hold down your sex drive, without bringing feminization. If you do see feminization anyway, further reduce the daily amount to one every other day, for example.

We are also looking into another herbal option for people who, like you, only want a reduction of testosterone, not feminization. But it will be several weeks minimum before that product would be available.

I also asked:

If I take Evanesce to the point that I start "growing" breasts, would reduce dosage cause them to disappear? (I kinda always wanted a pair of my own.)

Reducing dosage may or may not make them go away...

Stopping will make them atrophy; the more they grow, the less possibility they will completely disappear. And any increase in the diameter of the areola is permanent.

PS. I read that my genitals would more then likely shrink with a lake of testosterone. I’m small now and looking forward to that also. From what I've read, Evanesce should provide some good effect. I have not taken it, but I have taken conjugated estrogens.

My one warning is that taking estrogen will not reduce your testosterone. You'll have both active in your system. What you really need to do is to take an LHRH-analog like Lupron Depot if you want to reduce testosterone.

Taking estrogen, or Evanesce, will likely just cause feminization (it did for me) but your sex drive will still be active. Since I didn't want feminization, I stopped taking them. As in the response you received, my pointy breasts have remained and the most noticable effect is that the areolas are a LOT larger.

So be warned. Estrogen is not a solution for hetero men fighting overactive libidos.

I have been on Evansce for about two weeks now. I went on it to reduce my testosterone level. It is hard to measure testosterone level but I shaved my arm and I am noticing that hair is more slowly growing. I get my "stuff" from the Phoenix Project for $15 per bottle. I am taking the maximum dose of 6 or so per day. It is best to start with the maximum and then cut back as you wish. So I ordered another two bottles of Evansce. It takes them about one week for delivery. I have noticed no adverse side effects at all.

On the other side, in two weeks I have noticed the following in my 62 yr old body:

A lot calmer feeling. I look at women comparing my body with theirs.....I always lose!!

My skin is softer

It feels like I have an extra layer of abdominal fat

the abdominal fat is lower than my previous pot.

My butt has a nice rounded shape

My thighs are big

My breasts increased a very small amount. I am an A cup but I don't need a bra. A lot of my boobs were there before.

I'm on beta blockers which make "IT" limp. So I cannot give you an accurate report.

The Evansce specifically reduces your testosterone level.

It is definitely interesting to have your body transform. I experienced all the same "symptoms" as you've listed when I was on estrogen. Very quickly you begin to feel soft, your butt fills out, etc.

Problem is, I just want to control my libido -- not feminize. But I definitely see the attraction for those seeking feminization -- these things do work.

Only you and I know what is under my clothes. Oh my wife too and maybe a few others. But the changes so far are not at all obvious. I should be able to cut back my dosage and regulate the effects. Then again, being 62 my body will not have the same results as if I was in my 20's or 30's

I used it for about 6 months and found very little if no changes at all !

I then ordered some premarin from the Net, I only tried a 3 month supply, but started noticing changes within 2 weeks !

My recommendation is to use a prescription method, its cheaper and gives better results..

for just a testosterone blocker, use Androcur or depo-provera.

It has been three weeks now for me and I have graduated from A cup breasts to B cup breasts. There have been no adverse side effects which often come with chemical castration. I take 6 Evansce and 3 Feminol each day. So it works fine for me.

Now my hypothesis; the reason the herbs work for me is that I am 62 and my testosterone level was probably low to start. If I was 20 years younger, then my testosterone level would be much higher. I am looking for a home testosterone level checker. Does such a thing exist?

There might be advantages to being "older".
