Wife Agreed to Chem. Castration

I was debating on telling my wife this weekend that I wanted to start DP injections. The time never seemed right or i just chickened out (didn't have the baslls?). I sent her the following email today at work and finally (after about 5 hours) I got a reply! I wasn't surprised by it but it is such a relief to have her OK and acceptance. Before you remind me, I know I cherry coated some of the risk/benefits. For your viewing pleasure, here is what I sent to her and her reply!

I wanted to ask you about this this weekend but it never seemed the right time. I basically wanted to talk to you about taking a libido reducing drug since I am away from you so much. I know you worry about me screwing around and I hate being horny all the time with no outlet. I've done alot of research and have all the data I need to know any health risk (none) and any side effects (minimal and will go away without taking more).

The only downside is It may take longer for me to be aroused when making love to you. The good thing for you, is that many guys are happy just snuggling with their wives without the dire need to penetrate her. Basically it reduces (not eleminates) testosterone levels and reduces DHT levels which causes hair to grow in all those places that you don't like (i don't like it growing there either). If there are problems (lack of desire, no erection) then the dosage can either be reduced by amount or frequency taken. It's basically a depo provera shot taken every 3-4 weeks that is self administered and inexpensive.

I would like to try it but don't want to without your consent or knowledge. If I quit trying to get naked with you all the time, I wouldn't want you to think I didnt love you or want you. If either of us want to quit it, it will only take a few weeks to go back to my normal super horny self.

Let me know what you think. Questions, concerns? I love you with all my heart and hope you don't think I'm nuts!! - G

As long as you know all the side effects and are comfortable with them, then I'm fine with it. Expecially since I'm pretty positive you've been talking to "her".

Congratulations!

I hope you can work through her mistrust and find forgivenness and a solid foundation for your marriage beyond your daughters. I'll be anxious to hear how it goes since I'll be following you in a couple of weeks.

If by "talking to 'her'" she really means us then be sure to let us vouche for you.

"her" refers to a girl that I grew up with. We never dated bet skinny dipped in the creek before I knew what to do with a girl (I was a 12yo naive country boy). I didn't talk to her for about 12 years and got to be "friends" again a few years ago. Anyways..... my wife decided she wanted to raead my text messages on my phone. The messages were, at face value, pretty damning and of a sexual nature. Since my wife didn't know the context, and the fact that we were joking and being sarcastic, it was a bad weekend. So now my wife hates her and half way thinks im boffing the girl. So, I have cut back any and all contact except for an occasional email aying hi. It's complicated by the fact that my daughter, who lives with her mom in WA state, is good friends with this girl and is actually at her house right now. My daughter loves her to death and I didn't think it right that I should ban her from contact because my wife hates my old friend. Maybe I'm wrong.

I think my wife knows she is spending time there though. If anybody gives a rats ass about that soap opera, fell free to ask. I'd hate to bore the casual reader to death.

I think I'd be afraid to let you guys vouch for me. There is no telling what alabi you guys (and gyrls) would make up! Especially if Wolfie got to make up the story!!!🍑👋

Ahh! ok, I get this. My wife was more then a little upset over an ex girlfriend (Now married and never that into me anyway) phoning me once in a blue moon to ask me about helping her with some work stuff that we had done before. I never saw my wife so pissed off before or since.

I wish I had a typical Mr T (know it all) answer but I don't have a clue other then to never speak to her again and tell your wife you adore the dirt she walks on and treats you like 😄

I'm pleased you talked to her about chemical castration. Honesty is best I think. I'm a little puzzled at her response. I'm fairly sure my wife would be upset because she would not want me self medicating. *ie if our Doctor was not involved in this I would be given the "Oh no your not" sort of talk.

I will be very curious how this works when your drive fads away. I think you have good concerns on how the dynamic of her power over you will change. I recall when my Testosterone was low and my wife made some comment about her making me stop (in the middle of love) or "else" and I thought "Wow I don't need to keep doing this? Great!" And the look of disbelief, shock and maybe I dunno what when I just got up and went to sleep.

I guess one of the reasons I'm not a fan of this (Other then being a true fan of sex) is that it did not make for a happy situation. She wants me to "need" her sexually. And frankly I do enjoy being needed and her wanting me to want her. The wiring of a relationship is often hooked into that although not as sickeningly as you see on TV shows like Everyone love Raymond (Cept Mr T):(

I got the depo provera and proscar today. I injected a 150mg syrynge in each thigh and took one 5mg proscar. I plan on taking one 150 mg injection every 3-4 weeks depending on effect. I also plan on taking a 5 mg proscar for 7 days then cut back to 1.25 mg/day. I'll use this thread to do updates on how it goes. I plan on starting .625 premarin once a day too. Wish me luck!

good luck Ramses, that's very similar to my regimen, but I didn't cut back on proscar as i already have prostate problems as young as i am... The estrogen is good for keeping the mood stable, but watch out for any unwanted feminizing (if you don't want it that is...). The only difference is that i use 200mg/day spirotone to help keep my elevated T levels down.. My endo is talking about leptron depot (4 months effect) until i can get surgery, but that may be longer term than you might like...

I am doing some R&D for "Mrs T" on menopause *Yes its that time of our lives <sigh> and I am twitchy about premarin. My MD suggests the questions and concerns of "synthetic" female estrogen is hyped up nonsense but she is willing to prescribe my wife (human - not Horse based) estrogen so... I guess I'm wondering if its cost? Or ? Why not a patch like Vivala Dot or Climara or Estrogel that are all human identical (bio Identical?)

I read your profile and I'm confused about your using Estrogen? Is it just to avoid depression or to maintain a sex drive (Altho Female?) Are you worried about the addictive nature of Estrogen? I've read accounts from various men who say once they got on stable levels of it they were r e a l l y enjoying it.

Just a low dose to ward of depression. Will be watching for any signs of feminization and will discontinue if it's a problem.

So far I don't have any soreness at injection site or anything. I don't expect to see any noticable change for 2-3 weeks but will document anyone who is interested in my experience with this. For records sake, I am currently 6" tall, 227 lb. For furthur record for those wondering about effects on penis, baseline measurements are 7" X 5.25". Is anyone interested in any other baseline measurement?
