Your supposed to gain weight with castrate level T, but I cant believe this, im loosing weight so fast. Ive never had my T level this low, its 41ng/dl. I was thin as a rail as a boy and blew up on puberty, i don't know if it has anything to do about it, my endo thinks it might, he said he has seen it before. It slowed for a week then went gang busters, im dropping a little more than 1# a day. Ive lost 41#s in the last 4 weeks. Im not really exercising as my pain is too much, but im getting thinner still, just had to buy new pants....!

Does anyone know of passive exercises that wont strain my groin? I want to step it up, bad. If i can get back to normal wight, it will change my life. My surgery is in 33 days, i want to loose as much as possible as i know post op will reduce my activity more for a few weeks.

I seem to be experiencing weight loss, too, after my castration July 19. At least it seems my bowels are moving freely and faster and are less blocked.

Rapid weight loss with sudden onset is a sign of diabetes. Get yourself a glucose tolerance test just to be safe, even if there are no other symptoms yet.

Has there been any major change to your diet, also, or exercise regimen since the weight loss began?

no real change in diet, i have been on a 15g fat 1500cal diet for a year with minimal weight loss. My mom has type 2 and i am ever paranoid about it, my sugar is @ 93, normal. That was my very first thought, so i checked it with an off-the shelf glucose tester. I have made an office appointment with my endo, so i should find out what screwed up. Im of a mind to not change it until i reach a normal level...

I have read enough about eunuchs who lose weight since castration, that I wonder if perhaps we should consider weight loss as yet one of the possible castration effects? Franz Habock, a German researcher who wrote a book on eunuchs\castrati ("Die Kastraten und Ihre Gesangskunst", 1927), elaborates upon conflicting historical sources which attribute both obesity and anorectic complexion to castration, noting that many harem eunuchs were also noted as being remarkably thin, with virtually no body fat to speak of (as has been confirmed by photographic evidence of surviving harem eunuchs, as well as the skoptzy - some of these eunuchs appeared as if taken right from a concentration camp, while others were of normal or slightly obese complexion, all from the same area).

endo thinks it was an elevated E2 level from all the testosterone and my body fat was converting it. Without a significant source of testosterone, no E2 production, weight starts falling off. Makes sense to me!

Each time I experimented with Androcur, I lost some weight. I think it had nothing to do with the medication, and everything to do with the fact that I was physically active and did NOT spend hours wanking in front of the computer !

My blood sugar shot up after my orchiectomy, so I would definitely get that checked. Rapid weight loss like that is NEVER a good sign.
