I don't get it, why would they not have an all transgenderd corus? and why is it important that they do?

I would think it is sorta a big deal just because it takes a lot of people to have a choir in most cases. In most places you prolly couldn't find enough ts/tg people, at least enough who would want to join in on that. Besides, it is great to see that part of the whole GLBT making that much of a public presence:)

That's a good question. I play in a LGBT pool league in San Francisco. It might not seem like a big deal to any one else, but for us it is a way to be engaged in an activity we enjoy and do it in a comfortable environment. Because we are all gay, lesbian, bi or transgender ( actually we do have a couple straight teams ) non of us feel out of place.

Perhaps in that context an all TG chorus makes perfect sense.

BTW...the name of the group is Transcendance Gospel Choir.

a gospel transgender choir? wow, here in the southern states the fundies and rednecks wouldn't be too happy about that. lol well if they are any good... more power to em.
