I may be one jump ahead.

It is my intention to go to the gender clinic by early August. What folks don't know that over a year ago I was trying to self castrate myself by cutting off the circulation. I had made mention of this to a couple of friends of mine and they contacted some people who work for the county to do a intervention. We negotiated that I go see a nurse and get interviewed by one of their pyschiatrists. I just maintained my religous reasons for doing so and that was it. Although half is also for personal reasons which I didn't mention at the time. I agreed to seek professional help before going any further. I was just considered to be ecentric and not crazy. So I have set the ground work already and also shown a willingness to take matters into my own hands (so to speak).
I'm hoping that they agree that it would be better if it was done professionally and not done by other means. Even though I don't have any funds for this, I think we'll find a way.

I'm not sure of how successful you will be. I think that they will try to "fix" you, but not castrate you, if you get my drift. Mental patients seldom get what they desire, they get what the Psychiatrist determines is necessary, which probably won't be castration. Even if it's a "gender" clinic, they must determine that you're actually a female in a male body.

And that's the problem with "gender" clinics, isn't it?
It drives me absolutely mad to think that doctors feel that gender is a light switch. Male or Female, no in between. How about people like me that like being male but simply want no balls in their sac? I have no desire to grow boobs and get a vagina, yet I strongly feel that I have the same "disorder" a transsexual does.
Perhaps one of these days the so called gender clinics will realize this isn't a simple black or white thing. There are many of us in the middle somewhere.
Until then, I guess people have to take matters into their own hands and do things the way I did. *shrugs*

Dealing with a psychiatrist is always like that. You really have to go into it as if the psychiatrist is your enemy -- and your goal is to feed him exactly the right facts, lies, and half-truths to get him to go along with your plans.
I did a bit of research, and used it to get my psychiatrist to prescribe me some viagra and speed.

Strictly speaking, my reasons for getting both were entirely valid medically... but psychiatrists really are ornery beasts. They'll always try to give you some kind of nasty shit like antidepressants or antipsychotics or religion or membership in a walking club or something equally useless.
You know what you need better than a psychiatrist does, so you really do have to be assertive, well-informed, and ready to lie your fucking ass off if you plan to walk out of that office with your goals accomplished. They simply can't be trusted.

If you haven't already read my post on the two new academic articles that are available, you need to do so:
http://www.eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=11449
The Journal of Sexual Medicine, where they are published, is the most cited academic journal in sex research. Your psychiatrist will at least recognize it as both peer-reviewed and important. After you have read and understood the articles, make certain that your psychiatrist reads them. They should help by demonstrating that you are not unique, but part of a much larger group that needs serious consideration for treatment.
I will send copies of the articles to any Archive member who requests them. I just need an email address that will accept two PDF files of 150k each.

Dear genderless:
What are these "religous reasons" you have ?
In this "irreligious" western world,
working to find our real identity is not
crazy, it is a wise step toward wisdom and happiness.
