DP on the way

Post by consideringthecut (imported) »

I'm a 38 yo straight male. I've struggled for years with undesirable fantasies, addiction to pornography, and a stronger sex drive than my wife of 15 years. About 8 years ago I tried an anti-depressant to lower libido, but several members of my accountability group thought it was a cop out. At this point, I don't care if it's a cop out. I'd rather not have the drive via chemical means than continue struggling. I'd also be interested in hearing from anyone who has undergone either for religious reasons. I tried to search the archives, but didn't find a lot that was relevant. I'm a Christian and I just can't cope with the lust any more.

Last night I ordered 6 vials of Depo-Provera from Inhousepharmacy. Anyone ever have any issues with customs or issues with quality? I'm planning to use the 1-per-week-for-4-weeks and then the one-per-month regimen. I have an appointment with my physician in a week and I plan on speaking with her about it. I'd like to ask her for two or three baseline testosterone labs over a week and a baseline bone density scan. Are their other labs, scans, tests that you'd recommend? Have any of you had issues/resistance from your physician? How did you deal with that? I want to do chemical for a couple of years before considering surgery. For those of you who've gone from chemical to surgical, did you notice any significant difference?

Welcome to the Archives.

There have been a few threads on the subject of religious castration, but as you say, not many.

A few members have had some shipments stopped by customs, but I believe the numbers are low. If you deal with a reputable company (such as Inhouse) they will reship your order with no additional charges. You should check their web site for details.

For the most part, mainstream medical society is unwilling to help those in search of castration. There are several exceptions though. I do know of one person here who had gone through his regular physician to get castration, and there may be others, but they are the lucky ones. Your best chance of finding a doctor to help with chemical castration may be one that is gay/transgender friendly. Having a female doctor may work to your advantage also. Women doctors seem to be more understanding. If your doctor is unwilling to help you, ask if she can give you a referral for another doctor.

The bone density and testosterone level test you want are a good start. I would also get a liver profile and ask your physician what other blood tests should be done to be on the safe side.

Welcome to the zoo. There are a few folks on here who desire castration to eliminate lust or for "religious" reasons. Eliminating an unnatural desire is my main reason for seeking castration. There is no need to invoke religion as an excuse or justification for castration.

Since you are already going the DP route, you will have the opportunity to see if castration will solve your problem. Good luck.

Just want to say, great choice with inhousepharmacy, I found the prices were the best when I was looking and I got in in only 7 days which I thought was pretty good.

Good luck with your efforts!

Again, welcome. You are not alone in your feelings. There are also many Christians here also, me included. That being said, I hope you don't take offense at my avatar. I think frogs are cute and this frog is sitting on something I wish I was equipped with, since I am gender dysphoric. Being a Christian makes dealing with the problems we have, a real struggle. We are taught that all of the problems that we suffer on this board are sins. I know that this has made it very difficult for many of us to think very highly of ourselves. I have learned many things from the people on this board. One of the big things for me was being very intolerant of gay issues. I still don't think that it is a lifestyle that God prefers that people have, but I've found that there are some people that are wired that way. It's not there fault, no more than it is my fault that I am gender dysphoric. Most of the people here, I think, would rather be able to live what is considered a normal life, but for some unknown reason we were given these strange lives to deal with. From a Christian perspective, perhaps we were given these trials to strengthen us. Personally, I don't think God is that cruel. If anything, it is the Devil putting these things in our lives to take us away from our faith or make it easy for non Christians to point fingers at us and make fun of our trials and say, who wants to be like them?

The things Christina said is good advice. Depo-Provera is a good way to lessen your testosterone level. It seem to me that you want to start by using too much. I tried it also before i was castrated, but I think I took the shots 1 month apart and that knocked my T out. I did probably have a much lower T level than you do though. I'm sure that there is a lot of info here on suggested DP usage. It is very good that you want to advise your doctor of your plans and get the blood tests. You will be greatly blessed if she is willing to help you though. It would be nice if you could find a way to use the DP to control the T to an acceptable level instead of wiping it out. There are a lot of undesirable side effects to being hormone free. Loose translation, but the apostle Paul said that if a man couldn't control himself he should take a wife to release the tension. I know you have tried that route. Does your wife know of your problems? Is there anything that she could do to help you with this and is she willing to try? Have you seen a sex therapist, either separately or together? There are many people that have your problem and there are many doctors and therapists that know how to help without getting to extreme. Castration is the extreme solution for your problem. It will work, but you may not like the what happens next. I'm glad you are going the route that you are, just be careful. Sorry if I said too much, I tend to care too much.

There used to be a couple other places with better prices on certain things but they bought 'em out. :/

I appreciate everyone's feedback. Does a dose per week for a month seem excessive? I sort of modified Studlovers original plan... I think he did two doses the first week.

Also, does Inhouse include needles or will I need to get those elsewhere?

I would be extremely cautious in modifying the reccomened dosage. DP will work given time. You've probably waited many years to get to this point, don't rush into things too fast.

When you ordered the DP it should have told you the package it came in. Sometimes it is shipped in vials (which you would need syringes) and also comes in pre-loaded syringes. Also read up on the proper way of using injectables. You can cause more damage if done wrong. There are several threads here on the subject of injectables.

Does anyone have any recommendations on the correct gauge needle?

Thank you!

Hi everyone. I've been lurking around for a while now,:luv2lurk: but never posted. I'm switching back from androcur. I ordered 3 vials of DP from InHousePharmacy on the 3rd. To answer your question, every injection comes with its own needle. I've never had any problems with customs before. It normally takes 7 days to arrive. Last time I started by taking a second shot a week after the first one. After that, I took a shot every three weeks. A shot every month just seemed too far apart for me.
