Hi!

My question is to people who are eunuchs and didnt take any hormone replacement for a longer period.

If you decided to return to high testosterone levels for some reason, and had a shot, then how long it takes for sex drive to return along with other symptoms of high testosterone levels like spontaneous erections and higher energy levels. Anything you have noticed?

Thank you1

Hi erikboy :)

I had my surgery two years ago and stayed off of T for about one year. This past year I have been on and off it.

Currently I am on a typical replacement dose of injectable T, and this is the longest time I have been on it at 4 months.

There is definitely a problem, but I cannot figure out whether it is low libido or ED (erectile dysfunction) or both. At times there are sexual thoughts, but nothing happens (i.e., no erection). Other times there are no sexual thoughts (most times in fact). Without sexual thoughts obviously there will not be any erections.

Spontaneous erections are for the most part non-existent, but I can achieve an erection fairly easily with direct stimulation.

I do get wood every morning, which further contributes to the confusion.

When I do get erections, there is no feeling or sensation to them. Orgasm, however, has significantly improved.

So I guess you could say that after 4 months both libido and erectile function are still subpar.

As far as energy levels are concerned, I didn't notice any dramatic changes after the surgery, and I didn't notice any when going back on T either.

I can't commont on no Testosterone but from low to normal energy came back in about 3 days and along with that I got an improved mood and lost my Anxiety. Sex Drive took a long time. Many weeks to months. It also took a long time to get my brain fog burned off.

It is interesting to hear about such strange effects. It seem that YMWV as great Andrew once said. Difficult to find any common line.

Some say that there is no difference with energy levels, some say that they are almost dead without T. But at more than 50% of eunuchs report low energy levels with low T. At least some correlations.

Its interesting that it requires several weeks for libido to reappear again.. while energy levels return much faster. It appears that there are some kind of reservoirs that T have to fill before some effects reappear..

I wanted to add more thoughts.

It seems like there is some kind of "reserve" of sex drive. With Androcur blockade of T sensitive targets happen almost immediately. With Androcur one should feel castration effects almost immediately and more completely, as it blocades the adrenal T as well. With orchiectomy it takes more time for T to go low, but the effects should be felt almost instantly too.

It is well recorded that T levels fluctuate in males during 24h. It depends on hypothalamus hormone pulses that release LH to stimulate testicles to make more T.

It seem to me that people who have just undergone castration or started with high Androcur dose, do not loose sex drive as fast as their T levels drop. So, there must be somekind of "libido reserve" And it must be in the brain.

As castrated people who have started T replacement therapy will feel effects with delay, after days or weeks after T-levels have been up quite a considerable time. Libido will return only after "libido reserve" is filled up again by high T-levels.

I haven't found any scientific proof to that, as this part of human is not well researched yet.

Or perhaps I am wrong? Can anyone give me some links to related material?

wbr.,

Erik

I am on T high doses and have been castrated for a year, never really tried to become a true eunuch, but had none functional low T levels for many years. Finally had them removed and really enjoy controling my T level high low or moderate. Always knowing being a E if I want at any time...
