Now I know what you two are talking about. I've never watched the three Blaise mentioned nor any Survivor crap. My viewing tends to be PBS, the evening news or 60 Minutes.
For escapist entertainment, I watch Stargate Atlantis or any bad science fiction. One of my all time favorites was "Killer Klowns From Outer Space." That was a kick

It is because people like to see others belittled and humilliated and it is because the participants, (usually 'beautiful people'), will submit to anything for money...
...one is put to mind the pornographic websites involving sexual bondage and torture that hail from San Francisco, CA...
...after all, if I am a big overweight slob and I can see a sweet young thing have to eat worms and be subjected to abuse, it makes me feel better about myself...
