While I know everyone probably is different, I'm looking for a few rough guidelines here, if anyone could help, that would be great. I have an elastrator, and like playing with it, on myself, and sometimes other people do it. I'm looking for some rough time limits both for an elastrator on your penis, and one on your balls. For each, about how long for each of the following:

1. How long for each is essentially safe, with no real lasting effects?

2. How long for each may cause some minimal damage, maybe partial infertility or impotence.

3. How long for each would cause more lasting damage, but allow survival, maybe some full impotence, or some partial necrotic tissue.

4. Finally how long would it have to be on each till a dr would say you can't salvage either, essential mostly necrotic, and either would have to be removed.

Thank you for any help, and maybe an indication of how knowledgable or certain you are.

There are no rough guidelines applicable accross the board. Use our search function. Your question has been asked and answered many many times. Please read those posts. Then ask your questions if you have more.

If you're concerned about lasting damage, I wouldn't play around with an elastrator, no matter how great the thrill. Over time, eventually, if you play around with an elastrator, you probably will do nerve damage to your penis and you might accidentially cause "hypogonadism" by injuring one or both of your testicles. Hypogonadism is a condition of low testosterone. If you injure your testicles you might have to go on hormone replacement for the rest of your life. If you persist, you might just castrate yourself and take it from me, once I was castrated, even with testosterone supplementation, your sex life is never the same. It might take a year or two or three to finally cause serious injury, but it will happen if you play around with an elastrator long enough. I know. My suggestion, don't mess around with an elastrator. You've been warned.

P.S. I read about one guy a few years ago who kept pushing the time he left the elastrator on both his penis & testicles. Finally got the time on his penis up over 2 hours, but when he removed the band, his penis went limp and never did recover fully. Today he can only get a semi-erection and his penis is completely numb on the underside. Just so you know what can happen. Yeah, maybe you're different? It won't happen to you, right? Personally, I'd spend more time gazing at the stars.

I've banded my penis on and off for about four years. I will go on banding binges sometimes: I will band the penis several times aday for a week straight. I usually band for about 1-1/2 hours. I try to make it the full hour but usually take it off after fifty minutes or so, mostly because of the pain which at times is unbearable. The longest i have gone is 1 hour and 35 minutes. I achieved total numbness for several weeks; however, the feeling always has come back and the penis seems to revover totally. Most of the thrill of banding for me comes from the uncertainty of just how much permanent damage you have done--and you never really know until some time after the banding sessions. One day i may just go a little too far and end up doing something mildly regretable.

dont use an elastrator if you hunt around buy a power grip with quick release button its a lot safer and the thick rubber band does not dig in its a much safer toy and is reusable ive tried an elastrator and after 10 minutes the bands realy start to sink in making it almost impossible to cut

I don't recommend elastrators. But, if you decide to put on a band, have a pair of cat claw scissors ready BEFORE you put on the band.
