Started chemical castration again!

I have been thinking about it for a little while now, but I just needed to do some more research on things before I started again. I just finished injecting a dose of Depo-Provera into my system to start the process of chemical castration again. I have been doing very well with my depression and sleep issues (in fact the sleep is better than ever due to understanding my sleep apnea now) and feel that this is a good place to start from.

Some of you may remember when I started a Yahoo! group (ChemicalCastration) several years ago with two trials in chemical castration. In the past my depression has caused me to stop. This time I hope to stick with it and have one more dose left for 2 weeks from now, and I have ordered 3 more to go in 3 weeks, then run every 4 weeks for awhile.

I would like to invite those interested to follow my progress. I would like to make regular posts and answer questions for those who may be interested. Feel free to post here or private message me at my Yahoo! email address in the profile. Either way, we will get some discussion going that will benefit everyone.

Best regards,

Joe

I would like to offer my congrats and encouragement to you "Keyman419." My own experience with chemical castration was completely positive, never felt any sort a real "depression." Though every once in a while I DID feel lonely, really lonely, but only for a short time. Actually my outlook on things improved tremendously during my chemical castration, it was so nice to not be angry at the world all the time.

I hope this chemical castration attempt goes as well for you as mine did for me.

I am over 2 weeks into the process and have injected my second dose of Depo-Provera. I have noticed some soreness at the injection site. I have chosen to inject into my leg to make the injection easier. There is good muscle mass there to be a popular site, but the soreness is an issue for a few days.

Since starting at my first post, I went about a week before I noticed a significant drop in energy during the day. I suffer from sleep apnea and so I am very in tune with my sleep and daily cycles. After the first week, I noticed that I really wanted to come home from work and take a nap on the couch. This has not been an issue for some time since my machine was adjusted properly a few months ago.

I have also noticed some lower back discomfort in the past week or so. I have no idea if this is related, just a comment here.

I suffer from clinical depression and so I am watching that very closely. I have had some issues with life situations that play into the picture. I am having some issues, but I plan to watch.

It is still too early to begin to feel any change of mood or arrousal. Anything this early could be a plasebo (SP?) effect. I typically do not masterbate or deliberately cause arrousal, so I don't have any comparisons, but I don't seem to have any spontainious errections as of late. This would be the desired effect.

I am currently on my 3rd trial of chem cast and this is going along as expected. I just received 3 more doses of Depo so I am set for a few months. I plan to do another injection 3 weeks from now, then each 4 weeks after that.

I hope to continue for awhile, but the loss of energy is an issue. I am thinking that this will get better as I get used to it and it becomes the norm.

Feel free to contact me here or via PM if you have any questions that I can help you with.

Best,

Joe
