Deep Fried Testicles

There are Testicle festivals at a number of locations around the US. I have heard that Turkey Testicles are popular. I'm not so much interested in eating as in removal. --FLO--

I live in New Mexico. Just north of here in Colorado they serve at retaurants what is know as Rocky Mountain Oysters. They are bull testicles.🙏

Now I was a culinary student at a rather highly reputed institution -- so I've had some pretty interesting things in my mouth... ((Food! Get your minds out of the gutter...!)) But that's just gross. Some things just shouldn't be eaten. :p

My local paper has an article on the back page on the festival, and with a picture of a man with a testicle on his tongue.

I grew up on a ranch. No one in the family would dream of letting anything edible go to waste. My wife would disagree, however, and she is a culinary institute graduate – specializing in pastry, which is how I explain my waistline....

The testicles eaten at these festivals are from young calves, lambs and other domestic animals raised for meat. They would be naturally tender since they are from a young animal and taste good. However, if anyone thinks this would relate to a person eating their own testicles after castration I don't think it would be so great. Generally a person is over 18 years old (or much older) when they choose castration and the organs would be very tough especially if they have tortured them with bands and needles. Also it wouldn't be a very dependable food source other than a novelty. Testicle festivals always make a good story though for the media.

Hey, Daughter: You're not supposed to eat them raw! Lightly seasoned, battered and cooked, Mountain Oysters, Calf Fries, or whatever else you want to call bull testicles minus the bull - are great. Much like beef liver.

Testicles are really easy to overcook - they get dry really fast, so go easy on cooking them.

I know that lots of people have eaten People Fries, too. Something special to BBQ at a special Eunuchs Archive gathering?

I don't care if they've been braised in a perfectly aged chianti or dipped in chocolate! There is no way I could put a testicle in my mouth, chew it up and swallow it without vomiting.

dunno about the chewing and swalling, but I could definitely put one (or two) in my mouth....

Well now see there's definitely a difference beteween rollin' 'em around a bit while they're still attached and ingesting them.
