I didn't see the original post, but this might be a prime example of what people say when they talk about how heavy handed things in the archive are.
If you looked at the persons profile, you would have noticed they are a non-native speaker of English. Instead of arbitrarily deleting a post for being "inappropriate as worded" it may instead be useful to help the non-native speaker to make the post appropriate.

The original post was right at the edge. Because of language problems, I had decided to leave it up. Paolo decided that it was just on the other side of the edge. It referred to the castration of children today, rather than in an historical context.

I read the original post. Paolo has a point in editing it. I don't think the note left up was heavy handed or disrespectful. What makes you so certain that an email wasn't sent to the original author? --FLO--

I don't know if there was a language issue or not. I did not consider that, I admit. I sent the author a PM over the posting. If he wants to ask the question that a few members already saw before I pulled the post, then rephrasing it is a must. I saw the post as too risky to keep, and I pulled it.
Joking at Chris about his looking 12 years old is one thing - such postings are another.

re-thinking, it is a bit strange i guess to suggest such a topic, as had been. however i was under the impression that this was something of a search for friends. i thought the author was possibly castrated as a child and looking to find others who had shared in the same experience.

Well... I can kind of relate to that. I lost most of my testosterone on my 14th birthday just as I was become a sexual being (freak bicycle accident... ouch). It wasn't until I was 19 that I started taking testosterone. It was a terrible but unusually clear-headed teenage adolescence I had. I could clearly see how my classmates were CRAZY with hormones, and there was no helping them. But it was a gender bender: I was often mistaken for a very tall girl (6'3"-120lbs.). If anyone had a similar experience, I'm here to talk to.

heh.. I was an inch taller and 5lbs heavier than you.
I remember how strange it seemed to me back then how all my peers were always so obsessed with sex. I didn't really experience that until I was 22ish, and then it all finally made sense.
I used to think back then, in my teens, that the reason everyone else was so crazy about sex was because they were less intelligent. lol... To me it was it was just another one of those things that made me feel different from everyone else. :/

Strange...
...his avatar looks for the world like what a young Wayne Newton should have grown up to look like...
"Summy",
If you don't watch what you say around here you could end up getting 'clipped' again...
