Crushing cords

I have been an observer of the Archive for many years, and greatly enjoyed the stories and message boards. Finally I have decided to join the discussions.
I have "played" for many years and added to my collection of toys every chance I get. Recently I purchased some hemostats in various sizes at a flea market. I know in surgeries, the hemostats are used to clamp off blood vessels, etc. as well as hold tissue to allow it to be pulled back out of the way.
Their resemblence in appearance to scissors is exciting. My question is....I have a large pair about 12" long with jaws long enough to go completely across the full width of the scrotum.....if one were to grasp the top of the sac in the jaws and clamp down and lock the hemostat in place, would it crush the cords like a burdizzo?
Has anyone else played with hemostats? I have never seen any mention of them in the past. I figure with all the computer geeks around ( I bought the hemostats to put in my computer repair kits as they are great for changing jumpers, grabbing small screws, etc.), that someone besides myself must have looked at them and said I bet these would be great sex toys!

Actually, you can use hemostats or other clamps to castrate yourself. They will not crush the cords like a burdizzo, but if you leave them on long enough they will restrict your blood supply to your testicles long enough to kill them.
You can find lots of articles about how long it takes to kill testicles if you search on the Internet for "testicular torsion" which is a condition where the blood flow gets constricted due to twisting of the spermatic cords.
Most information says that you have about six hours to save the testicles, but that is from the onset of pain. The most detailed information I've seen says that after 12 hours of restricted bloodflow, the testicles are >85% likely to be unsavable.
Note that the chance of killing your testicles greatly increases only in the final few hours. So restricting the blood flow for five hours might have only a 20% chance of doing any damage, but restricting the bloodflow for six hours might double that.
If you do this properly, and succeed in restricting the blood flow for 12 hours, then you can take the clamps off. Your testicles will atrophy, and after a couple days you can go see a doctor. An ultrasound will confirm that they have died, and urologists will invariably recommend surgical removal of dead testicular tissue.
Hope that helps!

I heard that if you clamp off the testicles for too long and then release the clamp, you run the risk of blood clotts going round the system !
this doesn't sound like a good thing to happen...
I would like to try the burdizzo, but at the moment am not sure of its safety, and hw successful it will be, I am 37 and deadly seriious about castration etc. but being from the UK cannot afford to travel to USA for such satisfaction.
Hence I am looking to do it myself or by someone in EU or UK..
odly enough there seems to be no-one in the UK or EU that is willing to help !

I was afraid of that. Yes, when clamping blood vessels a blood clot will form at the clamed site. One would probably have to leave the clamp on for a few months to prevent the clot from breaking off & getting lodged somewhere.

What about the social aspect of it---e.g. would one who does this be at risk for being sent to a psychiatrist/mental institution by the urologist?

On my 14th birthday I was in a bicycle accident at 1pm that caused a torsion of both testicles and stretching (tearing) of the cord. By 4pm I was in quite a bit of pain but I was embarrassed to say anything. My parents carried me into the emergency room at midnight. They didn't operate the next day, they waited until the second day. The doctor said I might become sterile later in life but nobody said anything about testosterone. I started losing weight and my testicles shrunk so much that they spent a lot of time up inside me. My penis looked like an eight year old's. I had sex drive but no need to actually have sex with someone. I went through my entire adolescence like that. By the age of 19 I looked like a girl; I was 6'3" and 120 pounds (okay, a gawky girl (but pretty in my own way)). Then a smart endocrinologist figured out the problem and used hormones on me (HCG, Deca-durabolin, Testosterone). It really changed my life for the better (except I never looked as good in heels). Oh yeah, my penis grew too (whew!)... but it was really interesting having a 'Eunuch's' view of things throughout my teenage years. I highly recommend it. I saw other teenager's behavior without the intoxicating cloud of sex drive mucking up everything. I avoided a lot of hormone driven mistakes that caused a lot of pain for my friends. I don't know what that has to do with this post, but I just felt like sharing it.
