My search for a suitable doctor

I am really frustrated in my search for a suitable doctor. All of them are too far away for me to risk travelling to see them. I live many hours by car away from any major airport or major metropolitan center.

I am terrified of being stranded with extreme pain or complications in a strange hotel in a strange city.
Help!

What you need is a friend or two to go with you. If you are a "closet eunuch" to those around you, why not ask help from your eunuch friends? There may be someone who will meet you and go with you, so that you don't feel so alone and scared. Hash

That is exactly what I am looking for. The operation is scary enough without being trapped in a strange city by the aftermath. I'm trying to see if I can get to the East Coast meeting, and then... we'll see what happens next.

Hi Kangan. If you are looking for a doctor, you got to give him a good reason for why you want to castrate yourself. Tell the doctor that your hormonal urges are so strong that you cannot control your libido (or something along those lines). You have to make a big deal of it.
I don't know if this would help, but here is a webpage of a doctor in the Philippines for anyone who is interested. His name is Dr. Michael Macalalag, Md, and he has done bilateral orchiectomies:

Hi Kangan,
I don't know if this will help, but have you been to the following website?
http://www.healthgrades.com/local-docto ... al-surgery
Remember the Heaven's Gate Cult:-| ? I read on the news that they went to Mexico to get surgically castrated in the 1990s. I heard that Mexico is very liberal about surgeries (especially if you have some extra cash). For instance, the Mexican government was even thinking of legalizing narcotics. And their was a mass nude photography session in the heart of Mexico this past week (yahoo news photos).
So if this sounds like some helpful advice, maybe you can go with one of your friends who also wants to be a eunuch. You can take the Greyhound bus to the border and hitch-hike from there. {I've hitch-hiked before and it's pretty fun.}
Take care!

Kangan, you don't need to worry so much. If you have found a surgeon to castrate you, that is the scary part. The operation is no big deal. I do understand being alone though. I haven't traveled by the airlines much and am a little intimidated by it. Not the flying part, but getting misplaced in the terminal. If you saw the movie," The Terminal ", that's me. When I was thinking about going to see Kimmel to have it done, my wife said she would not go with me because she did not approve of his reputation. I didn't want to go by myself so I was lucky enough to find Dr. Alter who is only about 80 mi. away from where I live. My wife wasn't very happy about what I was doing, but she was there for me. It is wonderful to have someone with you, but if you have to go it alone, most doctors have care facilities they work with for those that are alone. I know Dr, Alter does, but it's more money. Several of the guys here have done it alone, so it all boils down to how bad you want it done. If you say where your surgeon is located, maybe we have a member that lives close enough to help you. I doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck.

News update:
I'm planning a trip to the Philadelphia area to coincide with the East Coast MoM. If Dr. Kimmel's office looks suitably sterile and he doesn't say anything to alarm me, I'm going to have it done. I've got the $$$ out of the bank and I have my maps ready and Kimmel's office located (Thank you Google).
Since I am going to try driving to Philly, some 850-miles, I am a bit concerned about being able to do the return trip 3 or 4 days after the operation. I am hopeful that one or more of the others at the MoM can assist me with some of the logistics.
I need your input. Thanks.

I just got all my plans shot down big time.
I called Dr. Kimmel's office. He is very busy and is booked for the next month or more. Also, travel to and from his office by car or long distance train is a no-no per the doctor.
I'm back to square #1. I need to find a LOCAL doctor!

What if someone else drove? I would think afterwards you'd want to stay relatively close to the good Dr. for a while "just incase".. Get a cheap hotel room for a week and don't move.

Any volunteers?
I can't do this on my own, and I don't have any help available to assist in the journey. All of the possible surgeons are just too darned far away.
