"When the Night" by Unmasked

I have just recently read When the Night (http://www.eunuch.org/Alpha/W/ea_151204when_the.htm).

The story is an amazing read. It it well worth looking at for anyone who wants something great on the technical side. It looks like Unmasked spent hours carefully sculpting each paragraph, spend minutes pondering each word, and came up with new and interesting ways to describe the most mundane things. It is very poetic.

The story itself is not so mundane. It is a horror story about an abusive father and his tortured and suicidal children. It is not something for those with a weak stomach. It contains death, violence, and incest.

In fact, it is rather subtle when it comes to its reason for even being on the archive. It seems to be a transgender story, but the exact reason and nature of the transgender event is never made clear.

I recommend giving it a quick skim at least.
