Chemical libido reduction

It strikes me, that almost everyone who post on this forum seems concerned with total chemical castration.
Going from an overactive sexuality to no sexuality.
This often requires aheavy regimen of drugs.
Yet, why not making things easier on your body, by just reducing your sex drive ? Taking enough Androcur to weaken the sex drive to a point where it becomes comfortable or manageble ? without total elemination.
This might also be something for oversexed teens: at any rate; when i was a teen, I would have benefited from a reduced sex drive. (sounds familiar ?)
Right now, I understand this treatment is available to troubled teens, perhaps it should be more accepted, for I believe quit a large portion of young men would welcome this.

I would like to suggest first trying an alternative that is fully reversable, inexpensive, and readily available on the Internet. If money isn't a problem and you want to go the legal route, you shouldn't have much trouble finding a psychiatrist who knows about it and will giive you a perscription. The drug is Tamoxifen, used primarily to treat breast cancer, that has the side effect of eliminating the libido of men until they stop taking it. Unlike Androcur, is doesn't interfere with your ability to have sex; you don't have to worry about meeting the girl of your dreams and being unable to perform.
If you can adjust your dosage low enough, you should also be able to achieve a low, but non-zero libido.
I discussed this in another forum, Eunuch Archive Message Boards > The Archive's Insides > Eunuch Central > Castration -- the only way out?
My message was posted at 03-23-2007, 08:19 PM and is currently number 18.
There is also at least one forum under Eunuch Archive Message Boards > Castration Issues and Discussion > Chemical Castration & Hormones that discusses adding Tamoxifen (in what I think is too high a dosage) when Androcur failed to fully eliminate libido, but I would discourage using Androcur with Tamoxifen.

Could you say why? A pointer or two that I can research would be fine.
