Those are some tough looking cossacks! Yes, castration has been part of warfare for time immamorial. If you think about it warfare is about shooting, looting, rape and pillage. Those french treked over 1000 miles to Moscow to create untold havoc. Heck I would hold a guy down and clip him close too if he invaded my country.

Over one million Germans went into captivity in Russia after World War II. I wonder how many of them got cliped? Then there is the whole history of the Roman Empire. Not to mention a thead on the Archive that goes back several years about US servicemen who got the cut in Viet-Nam.

Yes, in Vietnam castrations were often performed. A female VC nicnamed Apache castrated over a dozen GIs alone. With tens of thousands of women in the NVA & Viet Cong ranks, there is no telling how many soldiers were emasculated by female warriors. Of course the male VC did there part by nutting many GIs also.

The nazi's did all kinds of bizarre sexual "expirements". They forced heterosexuals to have gay sex, and fathers to have sex with their sons. Many people were castrated as par for the coarse.

There is an interesting book that asserts the entire nazi movement as a homophobic phenomena. There was a bustling gay community in europe just before the war. Indeeed the gay community was courted by Hitler. Many of the early nazi training films and induction films have a very strong homosexual theme. In think the might have done castrations not only on Jew but anyway caught bidding Jews a a punishment and a way of discouraging other from harboring Jews. I think remember reading about that some where while working on one of my college papers I did on the war and capital punishment.
