Estradiol effect dissolved under tongue
I have read on these boards that estradiol valerate is less damaging to the the liver when dissolved under the tongue. But does taking it in this way produce a more effective result as regards feminization. My doctor never mentioned anything about this.

Re: Estradiol effect dissolved under tongue
Hi Desire,
I don't know if the effect will be stronger or not. Thats some thing you should ask a physician or even a well qualified RN. However many medications are taken sublingually to prevent either the medicine being destroyed in the stomach or to reduce toxicity to the liver.
In a sense medications taken sublingually are similar in principal to medications worn in patch form. The primary difference would be the speed of delivery. Patches are designed to deliver the medication over a longer period of time, as in days or perhaps as long as a week. I think in the case of nitro glycerin pills taken for angina, those are dissolved under the tongue so the medication can take effect quicker. So nitro would not be a candidate for a patch.
I know that doesn't answer your question, and I'm not qualified to do that, but I hope you find the information useful.

Estradial can be taken sublingually, but can estradial valerate also be taken sublingually?

Re: Estradiol effect dissolved under tongue
they both can, its much easier on the liver, and its more potent as hormones are destroyed in the small intestine. I suggest you crush it and mix it in a flavor of koolaid powder or pixie sticks you like, as it tastes horrible to most people.
Consult a compounding pharmacist of you wish it to be prepared with a stronger flavor for this method. A prescription may be required.
