Anyone else tried it and had the same experience?

I have been on Andocur for 9 months. I added Tamoxifen about 2 months ago. On Andocur 200mg daily I still had some sex drive. With the addition of Temoxifen sex drive has gone to zero. No erections, no ejaculations, no desire. Very happy with the results of the combo treatment.

200mg Androcur daily? I thought it was suggested to take 50mg or less per day??? I was suggest to take 12.5mg Androcur [Cut the pill in four pieces] with 200mg spiro for up to 1.5 years at most.

Direct hepatic toxicity, including jaundice, hepatitis and hepatic failure, which has been fatal in some cases, has been reported in patients treated with 200 - 300mg cyproterone acetate [Generic Androcur].

I am well aware of the dosage limits for Androcur. But also have tried to reduce to lower dosages and my libido has come back full force. I have just started to reduce dosage to 150mg daily in the hopes that the Tamoxifen will help to control sexual desire.

Since my actual desire is castration -- and the removal of the need for these drugs -- I began taking Androcur with the idea that becoming a chemical eunuch first would help to insure that castration was the right course of action for me and to make the transition to no testosterone easier after castration.

So far blood tests on liver function seem to be OK. Am due for another check in under 2 months -- soon after I hope to be castrated.

Hi All, I am glad things are working out so well with ubandme. Before starting Tamoxifen, I too was cycling up to as high as 200 mg of Androcur. But after Tamoxifen, I was able to slowly ramp down Androcur to 50 mg/day and still maintained the zero sexual functions, response, and desire state. These drugs were all self administered.

I have had to take prescribed high blood pressure and cholesterol medications along with these (having started those nearly 10 years before I even tried my first androcur), and therefore I have been getting liver function blood tests every 6 months.

I stopped my androcur/tamoxifen after less than 1 year only because I was a bit freaked out by how completely my libido and functions have disappeared.

And about 6 months after I stopped the androcur/tamoxifen treatment, my sexual functions are back in full force, but my blood tests showed some early warning signs of my liver functions. My doctor is observing that closely at this moment.

So, self administering high doses of such powerful drugs as Androcur can have lasting health effects. Do please be sure to do all the necessary monitoring: blood tests for liver functions, bone scans for osteoporosis (which I never did). Any of these serious conditions may be irreversible could show up unexpectedly. By then, we might become impotent in more ways than we wished for.

What dosages of Tamoxifen were you using in combincation with the Androcur?

(Sure it's been mentioned somewhere but I can't find it.)

Here were my dosages:

Day 1 - 2: 100 mg Androcur + 40 mg Tamoxifen

(Already day #204 on Androcur, but no Tamoxifen up till then)

(Had libido, no erection, no wish to cum, but when cum, completely dry)

Day 3 - 4: 100 mg Androcur + 20 mg Tamoxifen

Day 5 - 11: 75 mg Androcur + 20 mg Tamoxifen

(Stopped having all thoughts of sex)

Then over the next 3 weeks, I phased out both Androcur and Tamoxifen

It took over 20 days to start feeling phantom erections at night.

It took over another 20 days to completely recovered sexual functions.

No permanent shrinkage of cock or balls as I had wished for either.

On July 31, I started back on Androcur (25mg/day). This is the second round of Androcur treatment after taking a break for about 11 months. You can refer to other posts on Androcur and Tamoxifen to find a detailed account of my nearly-1-year experience.

Since I am already on cholesterol and fearing overloading my liver with the additional Tamoxifen, I opted to go with estrogen cream and gel, with the understanding that transdermal estrogen is a bit easier on the liver.

Within 2 days, I don't get any more nocturnal erections. But after 2 weeks, every once in a while, I'd get horny, get a hard on, and has to cum - with the normal amount and color of ejeculate.

I did noticed that my testicles seemed to have lost nearly half their usual size, and the penis is extraordinarily limp. I don't think the penis actually lost any length, certainly not that quickly, but its constant limpness made it shrink in size in both length and girth. Since I had a habbit of stuffing both balls and cock back inside my body, the flexibility of the penis and the smaller sized testicles made it even more convenient. So, I started doing this 24/7 except to go to bathrooms.

At the 1 month mark, I still have sexual urges. Watching porn, I'd still get hard and the climax was not much different from before.

While I don't mind some level of feminization, that is not what I really want. My breast seemed to be growing already. Pain behind my nipples was constant, they stand hard and erect all day long.

As such, I thought the current regiment was not working. I am not losing my sex drive, but getting feminization faster than I am ready for.

On the 4th week, I got a low grade fever that won't quit for more than 2 weeks. I went to see my family doctor, but did not tell about my hormone regiment. She felt that there must be some infection in the stomach or somewhere and put me on antibiotics, which after a couple of days did bring the fever and night chills down. But in the back of my mind, I cannot help but wonder if it has anything to do with side effects from my Androcur + Estrogen Gel.

So, a week ago, after being on Androcur + Estrogen Gel for exactly 1 month, I stopped Estrogen Gel, started back on Tamoxifen (20 mg after breakfast, and 20 mg after dinner), and increased Androcur dose to 50 mg/day.

This is day 5 of the A+T combination. I still felt horny. With light stimulation, I got hard as usual and eventually came quite copiously.

However, after the erection, it quickly shrunk back, the circumcised glands penis mostly hid back behind a fold of the shaft skin, giving the impression of a short and uncut cock.

I plan to stay on this dosage for the time being until I can feel a loss of sexual interest.
