Not sure from the article whether it was just the scrotum, or the full testicles. Probably the former:

It's hard to say, but the article did begin by saying the woman was accused of ripping off the man's testicles. Then later on, it says she ripped open his scrotum. Maybe his testicles couldn't be saved?
