I am 25 yrs old, in good health, and have had a castration fantasy for the past 5 yrs. I have recently purchased 50 50mg Cyproterone tablets, to "try out" chemical castration. I'm curious as to what dosages to start with and if anyone else has taken this drug as to what dosage worked for you. Any info would be appreciated and once the grand experiment starts I'll keep you informed of the progress.

Everyone's body is different so no one can say the correct dosage for your body. But most people start at 100 mg. per day. I started at that and then progressed to 150 mg. per day to get the desired effect that I wanted. But I know one man that 50 mg. per day gave him the desired effect that he wanted.

I've been on Cyproterone for 3 months. Started at 100mg, moved to 150mg and settled at 200mg. I take 100mg in the AM and 100mg in the PM. Am big guy 6'3" and 220# so that may account for the need for higher dosage. Do plan to start reducing dosage to lower level to find out what minimal dose I need.

I am very happy with the results. For me this a 'test run' to see if I like the effects of no testosterone. Also with this drug first proceedure -- if I do proceed with being castrated -- this will hopefully soften the landing and make the change-over easier to handle.

So how long before I should see any results? I was thinking of starting at 100 mg a day, one tablet in the morning one in the evening. I realize this will vary with my situation but what about you guys, was it days or weeks?

Why do "they" recommend weening off? Is there danger if its not done that way?

Because without titrating off rather than an abrupt end, you can set in motion sometimes severe withdrawal syndromes. Some of them can be rather painful - principally depends upon the drug being withdrawn. Read the information packets that come with the drug.

I intend to read all the information associated with the drug closely, I was just hoping for some more experience related advice. Which I value a great deal.

If this may be of some help for you:

I just took 2x50 mg for one month. During first 2 weeks nothing, but really nothing changed. Then for 2 days I took 3x50. Coincidence or not: gone were morning erections. Last saturday I took my two last pills and then just quit. Until now not much is changing. I feel good. I had quite a lot of effects during the last days before that. I wrote more in the topic 'looking for androcur'.

Just like to let you all know that the med's arrived last night and today was my first full day on them. I am gonna stick to a 50 mg tablet in the morning and in the evening. Hopefully this will be enough for some result with little long term effect.

On a health front I have been alittle tired today and had a general feeling of "airiness" don't know if its nerves or the pills (probably nerves). Still fairly easy to coax erections (haven't have morning wood for years). Well see the status in a few days.

Ok time for an update. Been 4 days now on Cyproterone at 100 mg a day. Erections are alittle harder to come buy and don't seem to last as long. This could be cause I am tired or the meds I don't know. What I do know are my nipples have kicked into overdrive. They used to be no more sesitive than the rest of my skin, but now I rub them against my zipper teeth on my coat and I about jump out of my skin. I am gonna try cutting down the dosage to 50 mg a day, I think its working somewhat at 100 now I'll try 50 to see if I still notice some effects.
