The Up coming Ice Age is now apon us

Its offical:
Published today it is now offical. The speed of light in November is 60 minutes slower then it was in October. With out this added sunlight we will be in for a very cold time ahead. Implied and said by Dr. Johnny Hart CE. This happens when Day Light Saving time ends causing the day to loose one very important hour. This will have an immidete effect on the weather pattern causing rain, snow and a very cold Winter. There is hope says Hart in that in the Spring we will gain that hour back and it should cause a warming of the ground and air and causing birds to sing again and flowers to bloom. So when Hart was asked if this was a long term problem or just a one time issue he said "This is a problem we must face each year unless we change the president system of loosing an hour each year to Winter and keep Day Light Saving Time as a year round system of tracking time".
You can see Hart daily in most US news papers daily giving his wisdom to us all.

Actually, we tried this in the 1970s during the oil embargo. We changed back to the current system, because staying on daylight savings time year round results in kids going to school in the dark, possibly endangering them.
Rather than bringing an ice age, the recent time change offers proof of time travel. Last night, when my clocks connected to cable or the Internet ticked over to 2 AM, they immediately clicked back to 1 AM. In an instant I traveled an hour back in time. Why didn't I meet myself in the process?

That sounds like it would make an interesting story, possibly a better one written for another forum, since if written for EA, someone would have to be castrated. I'll have to think on it, though.

When do these kids go to school, if we get 9 hrs of daylight a day, if the sun rises at 6 am, its down at 3pm, so we worry about the kids going to school or coming home?
Day light saving time is a good thing but I am a newly converted Democrat so I will compermise, how about we move the clocks ahead 30 minutes and just leave it there year round?
Of course not everybody would agree with that, take Indiana they wont change, they dont switch. If you dont believe me ask A1.

Until today, it wasn't getting light where I live until after 7AM. I go to work at 7AM, and it's still been dark then. If we stayed on Daylight Savings, during the shorter days, it would be closer to 8AM before it was light, certainly after the kids were on their way to school.
Of course, in Fairbanks, AK, where I once lived, kids go to school and come home from school in the dark. There, on the shorter days, the sun comes up about 10AM and goes down by 1PM.
Here in Portland, on standard time, on the shorter days, it's dark by 5PM. I'll see tomorrow how light it'll be when I go to work.

This is about as ridiculous as the person I heard about writing to their elected officials to complain about daylight savings time because it was going to give one more hour of daylight to help her grass grow, therefore causing her to need to mow more often.
One born every minute I tell ya.
