Asking for a read receipt

It seems to me that there used to be an option on my private messages here on the archive to ask for a read receipt. I no longer see that option but some of the private messages have asked me to acknowledge receiving them. Am I doing something wrong?

I have looked and looked and I just can't find it. I have tried both Firefox and IE.
Where on the email page is it supposed to be?

When you enter a pm under new messages, and click to send, a pop up should show up and ask if you wish a confirmation receipt. Click yes

The pop up shows up in IE but not in Firefox version 1.5.0.7. I wonder why.

Couldn't tell you. I don't use either actually, and am not familiar at all with firefox. I suppose one should look into pop-up blocking stuff in firefox.

I checked and I have pop-up blocking turned off. I do get the pop-up that tells me that I have a new private message. I wonder what results other FireFox users are getting.

When I use FireFox I do not get that pop up. This is with both my desktop computer and my laptop. I have Java and Java Script turned on on both computers. I wonder if it could be an active-X or Flash issue.

i kinda seem to get read receipts regardless... but then, when in a 'safe' site, i tend to just hit the 'ok' button on any popup.
I had a nasty period when I couldn't seem to post a darn thing... but it seems to have been a problem of my own.
