a really stupid question...

Ok, this is beyond stupid, but...

I've been a member for a while now, and when I originally signed up, I did all the 'activation' stuff through email.

I was just cruising through the stories, and saw the little javascript thing where you can put in your name and password. While I dont know what this is for, I wanted to enter my info... but could not think of my password.

When I come to this site, I'm always automatically logged in (due to cookies, I imagine, that I've had since I first registered).

I checked my email, and sure enough, there is my activation-request email and my welcoming email.. both without my actual password. (it does give my activation number, however).

I tried subsequently to make a small change to my profile, but of course I cant, because I have no clue as to what my password is.

HELP?

Have you tried posting a message so that one of the administrators can answer your question?

Send me an email and I can change your password for you - I can't tell you what it is now, only change it. As for the popup asking a password, click cancel and ignore it.
